Frederick County Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Board for 2025-2026 Term

New Leadership at the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce



The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce is proud to introduce its Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 term. This year, the composition of the board reflects a diverse group of leaders committed to advancing the local business community.

New Leadership and Structure


Danny Severn, a partner at Warner Commercial, will step into the role of Board Chair. His leadership is expected to drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the Chamber’s influence and efficacy. Severn will collaborate closely with the executive committee and Chamber staff to shape future projects and priorities.

The Executive Committee this year includes an exceptional array of professionals:
  • - Vice Chair: Helen Propheter from Hood College
  • - Immediate Past Chair: Steve Heine
  • - Treasurer: Jennifer Milas from McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond
  • - Other members include Cheryl Cioffi (Frederick Health), Sue Hough (Octavo Designs), and Jeff Griffin (DCM Bioservices).

Amanda Haddaway from HR Answerbox has also been added as a new member of the Executive Committee, bringing her expertise in human resources and organizational development.

A Robust Board of Directors


In addition to the executive team, the Board consists of members from various sectors:
  • - Jon-Mikel Bailey, Chenee Beach (Service Coordination, Inc.), Mark Blacksten (ACNB Bank), among others. Notably, Nick Marchetti from AMI Signs has joined the Board, enriching the collective expertise.

Non-voting members play crucial advisory roles, contributing insights from various community sectors. They include leaders from organizations such as Comtech Systems Inc and Frederick Rescue Mission.

The Importance of Engagement


Rick Weldon, President and CEO of the Chamber, emphasized the significance of dedicated volunteer leaders: "A Chamber can only be a force for good in a community if the volunteer leaders are respected, agile and focused. The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is truly the single-biggest reason for our Chamber's influence and growth. Every single member brings something special, and that collaboration is unique and very special."
