This recognition comes from the Cabinet Office's Water Cycle Policy Headquarters, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainable water management and community engagement.

The distinctions were made based on criteria set forth in the Water Cycle Company Certification System, emphasizing efforts that contribute positively to water resource management.

Understanding the Water Cycle Company Certification System

In recent years, companies face growing challenges related to corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainable development goals (SDGs), climate change, and water risks, necessitating committed responses. Recognizing the importance of these issues, the Water Cycle Company Certification System was introduced in August 2023. This initiative aims to encourage diverse undertakings that promote water circulation, stimulating companies to implement practices beneficial to society.

With 145 firms recognized as "Water Cycle ACTIVE Companies" and three additional firms designated as "Water Cycle CHALLENGE Companies" in 2024, the initiative has effectively mobilized corporate involvement in environmental stewardship toward water resources. Suidou Kiko's ongoing efforts in this area demonstrate a proactive approach aligned with broader societal objectives to confront water management challenges.
