On October 24 and 25, WATERS Takeshiba will mark its 5th anniversary with the event, "Waterfront Freedom Time Collection." This festival, held annually on the date of the facility's opening, offers a range of activities that inspire visitors to enjoy the waterfront in various ways. Nestled right by the Hama-Rikyu Gardens, WATERS Takeshiba combines nature with a bustling urban atmosphere, making it the perfect location for a memorable celebration.

During the day, attendees can participate in activities that stimulate creativity, learning, and play. Visitors can engage in workshops, admire stunning art displays, or simply relax while surrounded by nature. In the evenings, a different kind of magic unfolds as the area transforms with an array of lights that illuminate the waterfront, creating a captivating ambience.

Unique Events to Look Forward To

Drone Shows and Projection Mapping

As part of the festivities, WATERS Takeshiba will host an innovative drone show and breathtaking projection mapping. LIGHTDANCe Charge & Go!, presented by AGEHARIDe, will feature 300 drones synchronizing with music to create a stunning visual experience. Each evening performance will occur from 19:45 to 20:00 on both days, free for everyone to watch from the Plaza.

Alongside the drone display, "Aoi no Kirameki," a projection mapping show, will showcase the beautiful blue hues reflective of water, enveloping audiences in a serene environment. The show aims to highlight the concept of future and flow, with updates projected every hour throughout the evenings. Observation is also free!

Cultural Performances & DJ Events

This year, the collaboration with Shochiku Entertainment will take center stage, featuring live performances from local comedians and DJs. Expect a joyful blend of laughter and music that perfectly captures the essence of autumn beside the water. Performances will occur on both days, so there's plenty of chances to enjoy the entertainment.

Hands-On Workshops and Unique Experiences

The event will also host an array of engaging workshops tailored for families and children. From creating lamps from real sea urchins to piloting water drones over the waterfront, activities are designed to be fun yet educational. There’s also a special drawing event where participants can express their creativity using safe, eco-friendly materials.

• - Urchin Lamp-Making Workshop: Using real urchin shells and natural elements available in the waters, participants can craft their own unique lamps. This hands-on workshop takes place on October 25, and prior registration is required.

• - Water Drone Operations: Dive into an environmental activity where participants can learn to operate drones to clean up floating plastic waste in the water. Ideal for older children and adults, this educational experience bursts with excitement.

• - Guided Cruises: Explore the scenic views of Hama-Rikyu Garden aboard electric boats, guided by staff members with a historical background, providing insights into the area’s rich past.

Interactive Family Events
