In a fascinating blend of history and innovation, the Senju 400th Anniversary Festival is set to take place on May 18, 2025, in Adachi City, Tokyo. This festival will showcase interactive AI experiences that aim to connect the community with its rich historical background. Organized by Blue Ocean Stars Co., Ltd., led by Hiroyuki Takashio, and TSUYOMIHO, a company specializing in AI training under Toshiaki Miyata, the festival promises a distinctive way for residents and visitors to engage with local heritage.

The Theme and Interactive Activities

The central theme for this year’s event is “Revitalizing the Town with AI.” Attendees can participate in two main interactive experiences that are designed to be fun and informative:

1. Ask Ieyasu AI!
Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with an AI representation of Tokugawa Ieyasu, a historical figure from 400 years ago. By asking questions, attendees can receive humorous and engaging responses, such as “I am Ieyasu!” This conversational style allows participants—from children to adults—to learn history through dialogue rather than traditional instruction, making it a unique educational experience.

2. AI Music Workshop
At this workshop, attendees can input phrases inspired by their love for Adachi City. The AI will then create a complete original song, including lyrics, melody, and performance. Afterward, the finished song will be sent via email, allowing participants to take home this personalized musical creation. Additionally, those seeking to craft a song that reflects their individual thoughts or themes can do so for a fee of 500 yen per song.

These activities, free for the public to join with some paid options, create an innovative workshop environment that emphasizes AI and creativity.

Aiming for Community Revitalization

As Japan faces challenges such as population decline and an aging society, efforts to revitalize communities through history and technology have become increasingly important. This initiative leverages AI and interaction to encourage local engagement, offering participants new opportunities to connect with the community. By conversing with Ieyasu AI or creating their songs, attendees can discover local resources and foster intergenerational communication.
