Transforming Future through Thinking Skills: A Summer Special Program



As the importance of thinking and communication skills rises in academic assessments, the Yaruki Switch Group is launching a unique summer program titled "Special Summer Program for Enhancing Thinking Skills". This initiative runs from July 29, 2025, to August 19, 2025 and is designed for elementary and middle school students across Japan to strengthen their skills crucial for junior high entrance exams.

The Thinking Skills Lab, part of the Yaruki Switch Group in Tokyo, presents an experiential learning opportunity that aims to enhance critical thinking and expression through engaging activities focused on social issues. Participants will immerse themselves in a 90-minute, hands-on experience that improves their ability to think critically and articulate their thoughts clearly.

Program Overview and Structure



The summer program consists of two distinct yet equally beneficial courses:

1. Course 1: Enjoy the Challenge of Problem Solving for Entrance Exams - "Research, Discuss, and Summarize! - Safety in Tourism"
This course encourages students to gather information, engage in teamwork discussions, and ultimately summarize their findings in preparation for reformulated entrance exam questions.
- Target Audience: Elementary (Grade 1 to 6) & Middle School Students
- Dates:
- Low Grades (Grades 1-3) - July 29, August 16, and August 19
- High Grades (Grades 4-6 & Middle School) - July 30 and August 9
- Format: On-site at Child Eyes or online via Zoom.
- Capacity: Limited to 3 students per session.

2. Course 2: Team-Based Problem Solving Challenge - "Collaborate and Create a New Shopping District"
This program encourages high-level teamwork among older students to tackle complex challenges and foster innovative thinking through collaboration.
- Target Audience: Elementary Grades 4-6 & Middle School Students
- Dates: July 31 and August 8
- Format: On-site (Child Eyes) or online
- Capacity: Limited to 5 students per session.

Participation and Fees



The fees are structured to allow all students to participate:
  • - Child Eyes Students: ¥6,930 (inclusive of tax)
  • - Students of Other Yaruki Switch Schools: ¥8,663 (inclusive of tax)
  • - General Public: ¥13,860 (inclusive of tax)

This summer program is not just a test preparation course but a chance for elementary students to develop vital skills in thinking and communication that align with modern societal needs.

Locations and Enrollment Information



Classes will be held at:
  • - Child Eyes Motomusashi School: Kanagawa Prefecture, Kawasaki City.
  • - Child Eyes Shirokane Takawana School: Tokyo, Minato City.
