Polaris RZR Factory Racing Triumph at Baja 400

In a remarkable display of skill and engineering prowess, the Polaris RZR Factory Racing team has achieved its third consecutive victory at the prestigious Baja 400. With drivers Brock Heger, Cayden MacCachren, and Max Eddy Jr. leading the charge, the team not only clinched the overall win but also completed a podium sweep, further solidifying their dominance in the Pro UTV Open Class.

Brock Heger set the tone for the race, starting off strong and maintaining his lead to secure his third consecutive SCORE UTV overall victory and the fourth win in as many SCORE races. His triumph marks a rare three-peat at the Baja 400 for the RZR Factory Racing Team, showcasing their relentless pursuit of excellence in the off-road racing arena.

Teammate Cayden MacCachren put up a fierce competition in the initial half of the race, battling back and forth with Heger before ultimately finishing in second place. Max Eddy Jr. also made his mark, crossing the finish line in third place, which allowed Polaris to dominate the UTV category completely.

The back-to-back podium sweeps highlight the depth of talent within the Polaris RZR Factory Team, as well as the proven engineering of the RZR Pro R Factory. Designed specifically for the demands of desert racing, the Pro R Factory has quickly earned a reputation for durability, exceptional handling, and outstanding performance, distinguishing it from the competition.

"Successes like this are precisely why we race," stated Alex Scheuerell, Director of Off-Road Motorsports at Polaris. "Our team consistently pushes the boundaries, raising the bar higher each time they hit the desert. Sweeping the UTV Overall podium not once but twice is beyond our expectations. The RZR Pro R Factory is not only proving its capabilities; it’s redefining what is possible in desert racing. Major credit goes to our engineers and everyone at SCI, who create machines built for victory, and today exemplifies that commitment."

With starting positions determined by the results of the Baja 500, Heger launched from the front, followed closely by MacCachren, while Eddy Jr. began in the sixth position. Heger wasted no time demonstrating the prowess of the RZR Pro R Factory. Utilizing its advances in design and maximum power, he quickly surged into the lead.

MacCachren showcased his tenacity, even briefly overtaking Heger for the physical lead before Heger regained control as the race progressed. Over the final 200 miles, he maintained his grip on the top position, solidifying his status as one of the sport's elite drivers and highlighting the RZR Pro R Factory as a formidable contender in its class.

Eddy Jr., starting from sixth, meticulously navigated the challenging Baja 400 course. By the time he reached mile 211, he had elevated himself into both physical and corrected third place. His consistent performance throughout the race was crucial in achieving the podium sweep, finishing with an impressive time. Additionally, Justin Morgan’s strategic approach, beginning at the back of the field and advancing forward, resulted in an impressive ninth-place finish within the Pro UTV class.

"I'm incredibly proud to be part of Polaris and the RZR Factory Racing team," said Heger. "The RZR Pro R Factory continues to astonish me with its performance and resilience. The collaboration of our engineers, race operations, support staff, and teammates is instrumental in our success, and it’s evident when we win in such commanding fashion with a 1-2-3 finish."

Looking ahead, the Polaris RZR Factory Racing team is set to prepare for the Baja 1000, scheduled for November 10-16, 2025. They aim to defend their title while Heger is eager to secure back-to-back SCORE Desert National Championships.
