Shanghai Electric Unveils Comprehensive Solutions for Industrial Innovation at CIIF 2026

Shanghai Electric has made a significant impact at the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) 2026, which took place from October 12 to 16. They presented 19 integrated solutions focusing on intelligent robotics, industrial artificial intelligence (AI), computation infrastructure, high-capacity gas turbines, and nuclear power equipment. This portfolio showcases the company’s capabilities in co-developing innovations across various business sectors, incorporating AI into every stage of industrial processes.

Innovative Robotics Solutions

On the opening day, Shanghai Electric introduced a comprehensive solution that integrates components for robotics, encompassing five categories: bearings, fasteners, screw drives, articulated modules, and robotic hands with advanced manipulation capabilities. This solution combines technologies ranging from precision mechanical transmission components to fully integrated robotic hands, catering to humanoid, industrial, and collaborative robots.

Among the showcased products were miniature bearings with an internal diameter of just 0.6 millimeters, corrosion-resistant fasteners branded 'Xuanwu,' inverted planetary roller screw drives, rotating and linear articulated modules, and a robotic hand featuring 22 degrees of freedom for complex manipulations.

AI in Wind Energy and Battery Manufacturing

Shanghai Electric's digital solution for wind energy, supported by AI, illustrates the application of artificial intelligence at every stage of design, manufacturing, operation, and maintenance of wind energy equipment. The solution enhances research and development efficiency, ensures product quality, and optimizes operational and maintenance decision-making through data-driven workflows.

Moreover, the company’s comprehensive solution for the automated production line of lithium batteries covers the entire manufacturing process, providing clients with a complete package including planning and designing, executing technological processes, supporting engineering systems, and managing the production environment, all aimed at fulfilling the requirements for automation and intelligent manufacturing.

Computation Infrastructure and Energy Management

The data center server rack from Shanghai Electric employs two-phase liquid cooling technology for accurate temperature regulation at the chip level, with cooling performance exceeding 200 kW per rack and a fivefold increase in computational power density. This solution is also suitable for upgrading existing data centers, and its integration with IoT platforms reduces overall energy consumption and allows for predictive maintenance.

In addition, an intelligent energy management and control system designed by Shanghai Electric uses a collaborative architecture of cloud and edge computing. It employs AI algorithms for power generation forecasting and load optimization, forming a closed-loop cycle of data collection, analysis, decision-making, and control actions. This system has demonstrated the ability to operate continuously and autonomously without an external power supply, including in the microgrids of oil fields, ensuring reliable power supply and flexible regulation under extreme operating conditions.

High-Capacity Gas Turbine Solutions

On the same day, Shanghai Electric unveiled an intelligent AI-based solution for high-capacity gas turbines that encompasses the entire lifecycle from development to operation and maintenance. This solution includes simulation modeling during design, flexible intelligent manufacturing, AI-based quality control, supply chain coordination, and intelligent operational maintenance.

Notably, Shanghai Electric presented its proprietary gas turbine control system, developed entirely in-house, which began operations in June 2026 at a facility managed by Shenzhen Energy. The company is offering solutions for gas power plants with simple and combined cycle capacities ranging from 75 to 800 MW. In a first for China, Shanghai Electric successfully demonstrated the use of hydrogen blends in an operational large-scale class F gas turbine.

Nuclear Power Equipment Solutions

Shanghai Electric possesses unique capabilities to supply a complete set of primary equipment for nuclear islands, suitable for both pressurized water reactors and high-temperature gas-cooled reactors, as well as critical equipment for thermonuclear installations. At the exhibition, the company featured its solutions across various links in the nuclear energy production-technology chain through interactive displays. These showcased reactor technologies like Hualong One and Guohe One, alongside equipment for thermonuclear fusion.

In the realm of thermonuclear fusion, Shanghai Electric has achieved 36 groundbreaking results in key production technologies, established four core manufacturing competencies, and secured 15 patents. This showcases the company's commitment to advancing nuclear technology and contributing to the future of energy production.

Through these showcased solutions, Shanghai Electric underscores its role as a leader in promoting industrial innovation and integrating advanced technologies into modern manufacturing processes at CIIF 2026.
