The expo promises a treasure trove of unusual items for sale. Attendees will find everything from
taxidermy and
preserved animal specimens to original artwork inspired by horror and Halloween themes. Rare
antiques, metaphysical items, handcrafted oddities, as well as funeral collectibles are also part of the enticing mix. This event is not just an expo; it’s a
wonderland of curiosities waiting to be explored.
All-Day Activities
Not only can you shop, but the expo also offers activities that will engage attendees throughout the day. Fill your weekend with captivating
photo opportunities, insightful
tarot readings, and even thrilling
sideshow performances. To keep energy levels up, there will be a variety of food and snack concessions available, allowing everyone to take a break and indulge while enjoying the ambiance of the expo.
Hands-On Workshops
Make your experience even more special by participating in one of the various
workshops offered throughout the event. You could learn a skill in a day-long taxidermy class, engage in an insect pinning class, or take part in a wet specimen preservation workshop—all taught by
The Sleeping Sirens, who use ethically sourced materials. Classes include breaks for lunch and exploration of the expo, making it convenient to blend learning and enjoyment.

It’s worth noting that all animals used in the workshops and displayed specimens are sourced ethically and have died from natural causes, emphasizing a commitment to ethical practices across the board.

El Paso Convention Center, located at
One Civic Center Plaza, El Paso, TX 79901. Tickets start at
$15 if purchased in advance and will be
$20 at the door. Entry is free for children aged
12 and under, making it an all-ages event—though we recommend parents use discretion regarding younger children attending.
Workshop Highlights
Some of the standout workshops include:
- - Raccoon Taxidermy Class on January 24th, priced at $325.
- - Ratalope Coffin Taxidermy Class on January 25th, for $175.
- - Octopus Tentacle Globe Wet Specimen Workshop also on January 25th, priced at $175.
- - Sunset Moth and Scorpion Habitat Entomology Classes held both days.
The fee covers materials and tools, and all tickets include admission to the expo.
