DIG SHIBUYA 2027
The SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH Executive Committee, in collaboration with Shibuya City, is excited to announce the fourth installment of the innovative cultural event,
DIG SHIBUYA 2027. This three-day event will take place in Tokyo's vibrant Shibuya district from
February 12 to February 14, 2027.
Having already made waves in previous years, 2027 promises to elevate the experience with new creative aspirations. Last year's installment featured the astonishing
Earthshot drone show, showcasing around
3,300 drones and captivating approximately
470,000 attendees over three days. This year, DIG SHIBUYA will redefine itself as an
Urban Living Lab, which invites artists, entrepreneurs, local businesses, and visitors to collaboratively explore the intersection of technology, urban spaces, and community interaction.
As the city of Shibuya undergoes significant redevelopment, attendees will witness firsthand how cutting-edge technology and artistic expression transform urban living and cultural engagement. The event aims to present an array of dynamic programs, including art installations, performances, and interactive exhibits that bring local and international talents together on this urban stage.
The DIG SHIBUYA Executive Committee is also launching the
Co-Creation Project, encouraging innovators, artists, and entrepreneurs to submit their own projects for consideration. Selected projects will receive support, including venue space in public areas and financial assistance of up to
300,000 yen to cover setup and operational expenses. This initiative aims to stimulate fresh ideas and innovative practices that reflect both the evolving nature of the city and the creative spirit of its inhabitants.
