Tech Mahindra Launches AWS Agentic AI Center to Transform Business Operations Globally
Tech Mahindra Launches AWS Agentic Process Transformation Center of Excellence
In a significant move aimed at revolutionizing AI adoption in the enterprise sector, Tech Mahindra, a prominent global player in technology consulting and digital solutions, has announced the launch of its Amazon Web Services (AWS) Agentic Process Transformation (APT) Center of Excellence (CoE). This initiative is expected to accelerate the integration of Agentic AI into businesses, ensuring efficient and measurable transformations across various sectors.
The AWS APT CoE is designed to deliver scalable AI solutions that focus on real-world results for companies, enhancing their operational frameworks. Coupling the extensive process expertise of Tech Mahindra's Business Process Services (BPS) with the advanced capabilities of AWS’ cloud and Agentic AI, this CoE aims to take organizations from merely experimenting with AI to achieving tangible business outcomes that include improved efficiency, cost reductions, better decision-making processes, and streamlined production cycles.
According to Birendra Sen, President of Business Process Services at Tech Mahindra, enterprises are rapidly progressing on their AI journeys. However, many firms find it challenging to go beyond initial pilots and fragmented applications. "With the AWS APT CoE, we aim to merge our deep process know-how with AWS-native AI capabilities—transforming how our clients operationalize Agentic AI, thereby ensuring stronger governance and faster execution with measurable impacts on their business operations,” he stated.
The CoE highlights Tech Mahindra's ongoing collaboration with AWS, emphasizing its commitment to empowering various industries, including telecom, healthcare, banking and financial services, retail, and manufacturing, to leverage AI effectively. This is evidenced by the success of an initial solution jointly developed at the CoE, named Collections Guru. This agentic AI-powered collections agent, co-developed with AWS, was rolled out by Target Group, a leading provider of financial services outsourcing in the UK. The solution has reportedly generated efficiency gains of approximately 40% by autonomously fine-tuning collection strategies using Agentic AI.
Katie Pender, COO of Target Group, remarked on the positive impact of Collections Guru, stating, “Since introducing the Collections Guru agent, we’ve observed promising early results, indicating expected efficiency improvements of roughly 40% in areas where it’s been implemented. This marks a crucial step in our ongoing operational modernization efforts.”
Chandra Pinapala, GSI Director at AWS, added, “In this fast-paced digital landscape, the establishment of a Center of Excellence is essential. It serves as a guiding partner that helps customers and partners learn cooperatively, deliver value expediently, and reimagine their business processes confidently.”
The AWS APT CoE stands out not only as a hub for innovation but also as a sustainable model for agile, industry-specific AI deployments. By enhancing customer engagement and crafting adaptable delivery frameworks, Tech Mahindra aims to foster accelerated AI projects across various sectors.
