Exciting Art Exhibition 'Gashin - The Fusion of Art and Photography' to be Held in Shinjuku

Upcoming Art Exhibition: 'Gashin - The Fusion of Art and Photography'

An innovative art exhibition titled 'Gashin - The Fusion of Art and Photography' will take place from June 10 to June 28, 2026, at the basement gallery of the Kitamura Camera Shop in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This exciting event is organized by the Takarazuka University Advanced Media Arts Development Center Tokyo (TMACT) and is a collaborative effort with UKIYO Co., Ltd.

Concept of 'Gashin'

The term 'Gashin' is a neologism combining the Japanese words for drawing ('画') and photography ('真'). The exhibition aims to showcase the fusion of artistic expression and true emotion by presenting works that interlace illustrations and photographs. This unique approach highlights the boundary-pushing creativity of the showcased artists.

Artists Involved

Five talented creators are participating in the exhibition, each bringing their own distinctive style and perspective:
  • - Kou Inada
  • - Ichiso Kujou
