Vention and Universal Robots Present Innovative Automation Solution at Interpack 2026
DÜSSELDORF, Germany – May 7, 2026 – At the renowned Interpack 2026 trade fair, Vention, known for developing the only full-stack automation platform integrated with a robust hardware ecosystem, unveiled its groundbreaking one-stop solution for packaging automation in collaboration with Universal Robots. This encompasses everything from case packing and conveyor systems to palletizing.
Vention's latest offering, the Rapid Series Palletizer (RSP) generation three, marks its European debut, supplemented with an expanded modular conveying ecosystem. This initiative reaffirms the growth trajectory for end-of-line packaging automation across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Streamlined Automation with Modular Design
The RSP integrates modular hardware and intelligent software, facilitating a seamless implementation process. As manufacturers face mounting pressure to rapidly modernize their packaging operations while maintaining flexibility, Vention's platform simplifies the automation experience. It allows users to design, deploy, and operate complete end-of-line systems with significantly reduced integration efforts, featuring a remarkable payback period of merely 1.3 years and offering up to 25% lower capital costs compared to traditional automation solutions.
During live demonstrations at Interpack 2026, Vention and Universal Robots showcased a robot-assisted case-packing cell. This setup includes the UR10e collaborative robot, Vention's modular conveyor system for product transfer and buffering, and a palletizing setup using the UR20, illustrating a complete workflow from case packing to palletizing.
Quick Deployment and Flexibility
Vention’s advanced modular hardware ecosystem, powered by MachineMotion AI, allows the Rapid Series Palletizer to go live within just four weeks. Additionally, full end-of-line packaging systems – including conveyors, case packing, and palletizing solutions – can be delivered in a record time of just 12 weeks;
a speed that is three to five times quicker than traditional automation methods. This swift deployment helps manufacturers achieve an outstanding return on investment, potentially multiplying their investment by five times over the usual system lifecycle.
The innovative conveyor ecosystem features modular O-ring and Poly-V conveyors equipped with Vention-designed motors and plug-and-play controls based on MachineMotion AI. With programming handled via MachineLogic and the Conveyor App, the system supports synchronized product flow, buffering without pressure, and rapid line reconfiguration, all while reducing integration complexities through built-in motor connectivity and EtherCAT communication.
Adapting to Market Needs
Vention’s solutions cater particularly to manufacturers operating in high-mix and high-variability environments, where flexibility and speed are vital competitive factors. The automation solution can replace up to ten full-time positions per shift, addressing the ongoing labor shortage effectively.
The software-centric platform spans the entire end-of-line workflow, from conveying to palletization, managed through a unified touchscreen interface with code-free operator guidance. Operators can easily configure conveyor zones, control product flow, establish palletizing patterns, and respond dynamically to changing production requirements without requiring PLC programming or specialized training. This reduces operator training time and simplifies the management of multiple lines and facilities, allowing manufacturers to scale automation without the need for custom integration.
Enhancing Productivity with Connectivity
What sets the Rapid Series Palletizer apart from conventional solutions is its innate connectivity, built from the ground up. The solution incorporates LTE connectivity through MachineMotion AI, offering remote support from Vention’s automation experts within a mere ten minutes. Features such as RemoteView and MachineAnalytics provide real-time performance insights to maximize uptime and expedite troubleshooting processes, resulting in minimized downtimes and quicker resolutions to complications.
Vention's end-of-line packaging innovations, made successful through Universal Robots' collaborative robotics, will be demonstrated live at Interpack 2026, running from May 7 to 13 in Hall 6, Stand 6A58 at the Düsseldorf fairground.
