Games of the Future 2026: The Final Qualifying Rounds in Astana

The excitement is building as Astana prepares to host the final qualification rounds for the much-anticipated Games of the Future 2026 this June. Organized by Phygital International, the event will take place from June 10 to 15, showcasing elite teams from around the globe as they vie for a chance to participate in an event that merges physical sports with competitive gaming.

These qualification rounds will feature teams across three disciplines: Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, and Phygital Dancing. Each of these sports combines real-world athletic performance with gaming skills, highlighting the innovative nature of the Games of the Future. Teams that qualify in Astana will earn their spot in the Games of the Future 2026, taking place from July 29 to August 9.

Competing Teams and Athletes

In Phygital Football, a highly popular event, we will witness a competitive roster including KMF Titograd from Montenegro, who is eager to redeem themselves after narrowly missing qualification last year. Other notable teams include Lahore Athletics from Pakistan, making their debut, and Brazil's OEASTE SP, an impressive player in the Fut7 leagues. These teams are prepared to clash in what promises to be a thrilling contest for qualification.

Phygital Basketball will see Valencia Basket 3x3, champions of the Phygital Rivals Spain tournament, competing against seasoned opponents such as Boca, the official 3x3 team of the Boca Juniors from Argentina, and the 2025 Serbian 3x3 champions, Vozdovac. This keen competition highlights both experience and the new talent emerging in the Phygital arena.

Meanwhile, Phygital Dancing will feature a fascinating mix of established talent and rising stars. Participants include Tiago Silva, the second place winner from GOTF 2025, and Dion Visser from the Netherlands, alongside fresh faces like Lala Geborgyan from Armenia and Jose Campos from Peru. These dancers will showcase their skills for the last spots available on the global stage this summer.
