Discover 'OTO MART': A Sound Supermarket
Beginning April 29, Tokyo's Shibuya district will transform into an immersive sound experience with the opening of 'OTO MART', a unique exhibition by CHOCOLATE Inc. This exhibition is part of a collaborative project with NTT Docomo's Studio & Live called 'Sound Grounds'. The concept revolves around an 'audio supermarket' where attendees can engage with over 500 different intriguing sounds from around the world, all while creating personalized soundscapes.

Unique Audio Experience
In this exhibition, sounds are categorized thematically. Visitors can traverse sound installations representing various aspects of life, such as 'Baby Sounds', 'School Sounds', and 'World Sounds'. One area even celebrates delightful food-related sounds titled 'Tasty Sounds'. Unlike any other exhibition, 'OTO MART' encourages participants to dive into the history of sounds, discover unexpected connections between different audio segments, and gain new perspectives on the audio experience we often take for granted.
The layout promises an engaging journey through sound, leading you from one life stage to another while exploring how sounds help shape our memories and experiences.
Create Your Own Music
One of the most exciting features of 'OTO MART' is the opportunity to compose music using the displayed sounds categorized into six parts: Beat, Bass, Harmony, Lead, Percussion, and FX. Visitors can effortlessly layer these elements to craft their unique music pieces, whether they are seasoned musicians or complete novices.
Familiar Collaborative Sounds
Adding to the excitement, the exhibition will showcase popular sounds from social media, including the well-known sound of a dog barking (
