IPG Enhances Talent Information in G-Guide with Artist Commons Collaboration

IPG and Artist Commons Join Forces for G-Guide

On June 5, 2025, IPG, a leading company based in Tokyo, will launch a significant enhancement to its electronic program guide service, G-Guide. This innovative update will incorporate official talent images and profiles provided by Artist Commons, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting artists. This collaboration aims to improve user convenience and enrich the database with reliable talent information.

G-Guide is not just a simple program guide; it offers a comprehensive platform where users can explore not only program information but also details about the talents involved in those shows. With an existing database, users can easily search for talent by name and find related broadcasting programs. This partnership will take the service a step further by displaying fresh artist images, detailed profiles, and timely updates regarding their activities, fully leveraging the extensive data managed by Artist Commons.

In addition to new talent information, existing data will also see enhancements. For talents whose images and profile details are already available, the “News” section will be introduced. This will allow users to access richer content directly linked to their favorite stars, thereby enhancing their overall experience.

The updates will also extend to the mobile app version, “G-Guide TV Program Table,” which is scheduled to roll out a comparable update in summer 2025. This move signals IPG’s commitment to continually improving the experience for its users.

With around 7 million active users each month, according to the averaged data collected between June and September 2024, G-Guide is one of Japan's most substantial electronic program guide services, providing users with various means to discover shows. The platform is designed to accommodate PCs and smartphones, including functions to showcase trending rankings and various genres of programming.

Furthermore, IPG is committed to enhancing its overall program information, aiming to introduce an array of entertainment content to a broader audience. By developing and providing engaging services, they aim to contribute positively to society and enrich audiences' entertainment experiences.
