VCP for PROTOTYPING. This program aims to bridge the gap between art and technology, offering a unique opportunity for professionals looking to enhance their product development skills through creative practices.
Overview of the Program
The
Value Creation Program (VCP) is designed to equip participants with the skills needed for effective prototyping – the process of creating simple initial models to validate design and functionality in the early stages of development. Running from
September 2025 to February 2026, this comprehensive course spans approximately six months, providing hands-on learning experiences combined with theoretical knowledge. The main instructors of this program are
Professor Shunsuke Aoki and
Visiting Professor Mariko Nishimura, both experts in robotics and entrepreneurship. In addition, participants will engage in workshops led by faculty that focus on re-evaluating everyday values through art, promoting a holistic approach to creativity.

Throughout the VCP for PROTOTYPING, participants will:

66 hours (including a one-hour lunch break). Participants will gather at Musashino Art University’s Ichigaya Campus, where they will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative and creative environments.
Application Details
Applications are open from
May 7 to July 7, 2025. All candidates will undergo a selection process; therefore, it is essential to fill out the application form with a statement of motivation. Results will be communicated post-selection by
July 14. The total cost for the program is
400,000 yen (including tax), and candidates should note that fees are non-refundable after submission.
