Futako-Tamagawa Rise Kicks Off 15th Anniversary Celebrations in 2026!

Futako-Tamagawa Rise, a large-scale mixed-use facility directly connected to Futako-Tamagawa Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi and Oimachi Lines, is set to mark its 15th anniversary on March 19, 2026. To celebrate this milestone, the venue plans a year-long anniversary initiative beginning in March 2026, aiming to deepen connections among people and the community through a series of events and campaigns. This year of celebration embraces the theme: "From Here, Into the Future." This expresses the desire to foster countless precious moments in daily life from this location. As a demonstration of this spirit, the kickoff event "My Square - SETAGAYA REPUBLIC FES -" will take place from March 20 to 22, 2026. This three-day event will showcase the charm and sentiments of Setagaya, creating a special connection between the community and its people.

Kickoff Event: My Square - SETAGAYA REPUBLIC FES

The "My Square - SETAGAYA REPUBLIC FES" event embraces the historical significance of Futako-Tamagawa as a bustling connection point or "watariba" for people. It aims to create spaces for cross-generational and cross-genre interactions and expressions, especially in light of the 15th anniversary. The event venue encompasses three zones within Futako-Tamagawa Rise, including a welcome garden surrounded by plants to stimulate the senses, a local market gathering the best of Setagaya’s offerings, and interactive sessions for learning and dialogue.

During these three days, all attendees will have the opportunity to take part in the experience, discovering their favorite activities and places to enjoy freely.

Garden: Galleria

Kickstarting the 15th anniversary, the Galleria is transformed into a captivating experiential field filled with a diverse range of flora. Within the space, participants can engage in workshops that involve creating with natural materials and seasonal plants. They can also contribute to a collectively formed monument by decorating and adding branches, all designed to stimulate the senses. Additionally, a food area featuring food trucks will be available, allowing guests to spend their time at their leisure in a welcoming garden setting enriched by experiences.

Market: Central Plaza

The Central Plaza hosts a local market that gathers over 50 well-known shops primarily from Setagaya. This market offers a vibrant selection of food, processed goods, crafts, and lifestyle products. By day, it's a bustling market, while in the evenings it transforms into a beautifully lit night market. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with local vendors, feeling the pulse of the "now" in Setagaya. On March 21, the “Community Dinner” featuring special menus from popular local eateries celebrates the 15th anniversary.

Session: Studio & Hall

At the Studio & Hall, sessions and pitch events will be hosted, featuring entrepreneurs and local players who will discuss the future potential and challenges of Setagaya. An array of engaging content will be provided for attendees to explore.

On March 21, a special pitch event from the Neighbor School SETAGAYA will showcase new business initiatives participants have developed. Following this, a talk session with the owners of renowned restaurants in Setagaya will offer insights into their culinary philosophies alongside tasting opportunities. Additionally, an interactive live performance titled "Issen no Session!" will allow attendees to join professional musicians through sound-making, drawing, and dancing.

This one-night-only special dining experience includes participation from four local restaurants, each represented by talented chefs from selections in the Michelin Tokyo 2024 guide.
