SWI Group Enters NVIDIA Cloud Partnership
In a significant step towards reinforcing its foothold in the AI landscape, SWI Group has announced its official partnership with NVIDIA Cloud as a preferred member of the NVIDIA Cloud Partner program (NCP). This collaboration marks an important milestone in SWI's journey to become a vertically integrated player in the world of AI, joining a prestigious network of partners recognized for their validated competencies and demonstrated expertise in AI infrastructure.
With a power generation capacity of 3.6 gigawatts across Europe and the United States, SWI Group is set to leverage this partnership to enhance its AI services. As a member of the NCP, the company gains valuable access to NVIDIA’s reference architectures and validated configurations. This capability will simplify the deployment of new NVIDIA-certified capacity as the platform expands, thereby allowing SWI Group to implement NVIDIA accelerated computing infrastructure across a variety of AI workloads. These include model training and tuning, as well as production-scale inference and automated AI applications.
Max-Hervé George, the founder and CEO of SWI Group, commented, "This partnership with NVIDIA is a pivotal development in our ambition to position ourselves as a fully vertically integrated global AI force. Previously, we focused on land, energy, and infrastructure; now, our focus extends to chips, tokens, and applications. This collaboration will undoubtedly strengthen our position not only in Europe and the USA but also in other competitive markets."
SWI Group's capabilities certified by NVIDIA encompass computing, networking, and enterprise software. This comprehensive skill set aligns with the company's strategy to operate as a vertically integrated computing provider, intending to implement the latest NVIDIA GPUs in its AI factories and manage an AI cloud platform utilizing NVIDIA AI Enterprise software.
In addition to this promising partnership, SWI Group has also recently acquired a majority stake in Genesis Digital Assets, now rebranded as SWI Digital. This significant acquisition of a 1.3 gigawatt data center expands SWI’s primary presence in the United States— a strategic move that complements its existing energy and infrastructure assets.
Furthermore, SWI has made substantial progress in Europe, where it has developed AiOnX, a robust portfolio totaling 2.3 gigawatts in countries such as Ireland, the UK, Spain, Denmark, and Italy. Notably, one of its facilities has already been leased to a large scale cloud service provider, further underscoring SWI's commitment to scaling up its operational capabilities.
Looking ahead, SWI Group intends to continue investing in a diverse range of business ventures. Recently, it was revealed that Varia US, managed by SWI, has signed a joint venture agreement valued at $693.9 million with Brookfield Asset Management. This move indicates SWI Group's ongoing dedication to expanding its influence in various markets.
