Desay Battery Unveils Safety-Driven Innovations at RE+ 2025
The RE+ 2025 conference, held from September 8 to 11 in Las Vegas, saw Desay Battery, a global leader in energy storage solutions, showcase a comprehensive range of safety-oriented innovations. One of the primary highlights was their active safety cell technology, which aims to tackle a critical challenge in the battery industry: ensuring the safety of energy storage systems.
Desay Battery's system leverages extensive experimental data and correlation analyses to integrate advanced temperature and pressure sensors within an AI-capable cell architecture. This design allows for real-time monitoring of battery conditions throughout its lifecycle. The system can detect potential risks such as overcharging, short circuits, or lithium plating early on, promptly transmitting abnormal signals to trigger preventive actions.
In addition, the company introduced a newly designed corrosion-resistant sensor that guarantees accurate data collection in harsh environments, monitoring voltage, internal temperature, and pressure—the 'data triangle' that drives Desay's next-generation Battery Management System (BMS). This solution is integrated with EMS and a cloud-based AI system, optimizing cooling processes, refining charging procedures, and extending system lifespan while boosting efficiency.
Alongside the AI-driven platform, Desay Battery unveiled its diverse range of lithium and sodium batteries, including lithium cells with capacities of 100 Ah, 280 Ah, and 314 Ah, as well as a 60 Ah sodium cell. Their offerings also featured modular battery systems and a series of integrated storage cabinets ranging from 215 kWh to 344 kWh. The exhibition showcased larger systems, such as the 5 MWh liquid-cooled solution housed in containers and offerings for critical infrastructure like uninterruptible power supply (UPS) cabinets and household storage systems.
A key focus of Desay Battery’s showcase was addressing the energy demands of data centers by integrating photovoltaic technology with advanced storage systems. This integration reportedly reduced average energy costs to 0.25 RMB/kWh with potential savings of up to 79% during peak times.
The company emphasized its capability to provide customized end-to-end energy storage solutions, a competence that has earned it inclusion in Bloomberg's Tier-1 Energy Storage list as well as strong recommendations from industry partners. Their recently announced partnership with Shenzhen Hello Tech Energy, a prominent player in portable storage solutions and mobile household energy technology, exemplifies this collaborative approach. Together, they aim to leverage their complementary strengths in technology, supply chains, and sales channels to open up new growth avenues and deliver competitive solutions for global markets.
As Desay Battery continues its commitment to safer, smarter, and more sustainable energy solutions, their extensive portfolio extends from groundbreaking innovations at the cell level to fully integrated systems. This relentless pursuit of innovation reflects their vision of shaping the future of energy storage safety and efficiency.
