Registration Now Open for the 15th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition Focused on AI and Construction Machinery

Registration Open for the 15th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition

The 15th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, centered on the theme of "AI + Construction Machinery," officially opened for registration on August 13, 2026. This year's event, co-organized by XCMG, presents a unique opportunity for innovators, engineers, scientists, and tech enthusiasts to develop advanced solutions aimed at enhancing green and intelligent technology in the construction machinery sector.

Competition Overview

More than just a regular contest, this competition serves as a significant platform for fostering problem-solving capabilities, accelerating the transition of laboratory innovations onto real construction sites, and encouraging collaboration among industry stakeholders. The event features three distinct tracks for participants: Professional Contest, Customer Co-Creation, and Open Challenge. The competition invites not only local but also international universities, research institutions, and technology companies to join and contribute.

Professional Contest Track

This track includes an additional division for unlisted companies and teams, focusing on AI-driven innovations in three key areas:
  • - AI + Product: This encompasses cutting-edge complete machine configurations, human-like intelligent system designs, and next-generation digital hardware ecosystems for energy.
  • - AI + Worksite Scenarios: Solutions for autonomous operations, coordination of multiple machines, and innovative energy replenishment models, particularly for sectors like mining and agriculture.
  • - AI + Operations: Development of AI agents for tasks such as requirements analysis, document generation, and customer interactions, facilitating smoother operations.

Customer Co-Creation Track

Aimed at addressing practical operational challenges faced in the field, this track is designed for solutions concerning mining, earthmoving, and agriculture. It invites projects that tackle equipment packages, lifecycle operation, maintenance, and intelligent assistance mechanisms, including unmanned operations.

Open Challenge Track

The Open Challenge presents specific technical hurdles that participants must overcome, including:
  • - Autonomous Excavation: Achieving a success rate of at least 95% under complex material conditions.
  • - Multi-Sensor Fusion Perception: Operating in high-dust environments with a recognition accuracy of no less than 97%.
  • - Battery State-of-Health Assessment: Correctly estimating battery performance with an error rate not exceeding 3% under heavy-duty conditions.

Organizational Structure

The competition is hosted in collaboration with several prominent organizations, including the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, local government bodies, and industry associations focused on machinery and construction. XCMG's role as a co-organizer underscores its commitment to fostering innovation in the sector.

Participating in this competition provides teams with various support options, including commercialization strategies, capital support, talent recruitment, as well as ongoing project incubation, all designed to smooth the transition from innovative ideas to tangible market solutions.

Important Dates

Registration for the competition will remain open until September 15, 2026. Participants are required to submit their project files by September 25,2026. For those interested in taking part, they may register through the event’s official website at China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition or through XCMG's homepage at XCMG.

This competition not only represents an opportunity to showcase innovative projects but also aims to foster a community of forward-thinkers dedicated to integrating advanced technology within the construction landscape, ultimately striving to create a more intelligent and sustainable future.
