ICP DAS-BMP Unveils Medical Innovations at COMPAMED 2026 Event

ICP DAS-BMP Showcases Medical Innovations at COMPAMED 2026

ICP DAS-BMP, a leading Taiwanese manufacturer and supplier of medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), is set to present its latest innovations at the upcoming COMPAMED 2026 event. Taking place from November 16 to 19 at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany, the company will exhibit at Pavilion 8b, Booth C09.

At the exhibition, ICP DAS-BMP will unveil its full catalog of TPU products and will prominently introduce the newly formed Taiwan TPU Alliance. The exhibition will emphasize two of its flagship innovations: the Low Migration Series and the Low Friction Series, both aimed at enhancing safety and usability in medical applications.

Low Migration Series

The Low Migration Arothane™ ARP-B20 TPU meets ISO 10993 standards, making it suitable for implantation durations of up to 90 days. This advanced formulation is designed to minimize the migration of additives to the surface of medical devices, ensuring long-term stability and reliability for patients.

Low Friction Series

The Low Friction Series features an inherently smooth surface that eliminates the need for coatings or post-processing techniques. Made entirely of TPU and free from PFAS and plasticizers, this series provides superior comfort and control during the handling of invasive catheters and guides, improving overall patient experience.

In addition to these innovative series, ICP DAS-BMP will showcase a range of support devices across the ARP, ALP, and ALC series, designed for various contact durations in accordance with ISO 10993-1 standards. For radiopaque applications, the ARP/ALP/ALC-B20/B40 series incorporates 20% to 40% barium sulfate, while the ARP-W/WG series includes 40% to 60% tungsten to enhance visibility in invasive or implantable devices. Furthermore, the Engineering Arothane™ EARP series is engineered for clarity and mechanical strength, making it ideal for orthodontic components.

Taiwan TPU Alliance

At COMPAMED 2026, ICP DAS-BMP will also join forces with the Taiwan TPU Alliance, initiated by Towards Buddha Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of TPU tubing. This alliance is a collaborative effort that connects multiple industry partners including INTYPE ENTERPRISE CO., LTD. (extrusion machinery), Chi Feng Co., Ltd. (injection molding components), A-MAX TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (auxiliary equipment for rubber and plastic industries), and ANEST IWATA SPARMAX Co., Ltd. (air compressors and vacuum pumps). By fostering this alliance, the partners aim to unify their expertise throughout the TPU and medical device manufacturing value chain, which encompasses everything from medical-grade TPU materials and tubing to injection molding, extrusion machinery, auxiliary equipment, and air and vacuum systems.
