BayCare, a prominent healthcare system in West Central Florida, recently welcomed Marc Hallee as its new vice president of Total Rewards, effective January 6, 2025. In this capacity, Hallee is tasked with steering BayCare's Total Rewards strategy—a comprehensive framework that encapsulates employee benefits, compensation, leave services, and workers' compensation.
A People-First Approach to Total Rewards
With over three decades of experience in human resources and consulting, Hallee is set to implement strategies that will not only meet the competitive demands of the healthcare sector but also support the over 33,000 employees within BayCare. His focus will center on designing rewards programs that are both sustainable and scalable, ensuring alignment with the organization’s evolving needs. The goal is to create cost-effective solutions that attract top talent and enhance productivity, all while maintaining adherence to a simple and clear communication strategy.
Hallee noted, "I am honored to join BayCare and look forward to contributing to its people-first culture. I am eager to collaborate with the talented teams at BayCare to devise innovative Total Rewards strategies that empower team members and drive organizational success."
Extensive Experience in Human Resources
Before joining BayCare, Hallee gained extensive experience in the field, serving as a senior client partner and chief growth officer for healthcare at Korn Ferry. His role there involved strategic consulting for numerous healthcare organizations, allowing him to masterfully align talent management with organizational goals. In addition, he founded Marc Hallee Associates, LLC in 2016, providing consulting services aimed at optimizing human resources programs in healthcare settings.
Hallee succeeded Nikki Daily, who will transition to the role of chief team resources officer when she retires next month. Daily expressed her confidence in Hallee's abilities, stating, "Marc's extensive experience and innovative approach to total rewards make him the perfect fit to lead this critical area of our organization. His vision and leadership will help ensure that BayCare remains an employer of choice in West Central Florida and continues to support our team members' well-being."
Commitment to Education
Hallee's academic background comprises a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bates College, where he graduated cum laude, and an MBA in Leadership and Change Management from DePaul University, graduating with distinction. His educational journey has equipped him with the analytical and strategic skills necessary to thrive in the fast-paced healthcare environment.
