Hagerty Launches Free Severe Weather Storage for Florida Automotive Enthusiasts
Hagerty's Complimentary Severe Weather Storage Service for Florida Members
Hagerty, the well-known name among classic and enthusiast vehicle owners, has just rolled out an innovative new service to help its Florida members protect their beloved cars during severe weather events. With the region often facing the risks of hurricanes, tropical storms, and heavy rainfall, this initiative aims to provide peace of mind for car owners when they need it most.
Introduction of the Safe Storage Concierge
In collaboration with Way, Hagerty introduces the Hagerty Safe Storage Concierge, a seamless solution that offers secure, enclosed storage for vehicles threatened by volatile weather conditions. This service enables Hagerty members to store their classic cars safely above the anticipated surge line for up to five days at no extra cost, right when they need it. Given the tight time constraints that come with preparing for an impending storm, this service alleviates some of the stress associated with protecting valued vehicles.
Jeff Briglia, President of Insurance at Hagerty, stated, "After people ensure the safety of their families and homes, protecting their special vehicles becomes a top priority during severe weather. We’re proud to offer our members a reliable solution during these challenging times."
How It Works
Initially, the new service will be accessible within the metropolitan areas of Tampa and Miami. When a severe weather alert is in effect, Hagerty will notify members via email, allowing them to swiftly transport their insured collector vehicles to designated garages participating in the program. This concierge-style service operates on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring that members can secure their spots in advance.
What sets this service apart is its integration with Way's advanced digital platform, which simplifies the process of reserving, accessing, and checking out garage spaces. Notably, over 90% of customers surveyed expressed a keen interest in utilizing this service, with a significant 75% having firsthand experience with storms like hurricanes.
Customer Insight and Feedback
The remarkable feedback from members indicates a strong demand for such protective services. Many respondents highlighted that they would evacuate their vehicles if a Category 3 hurricane or more serious storm were imminent. Furthermore, the service allows members to keep storing their cars beyond the initial five days at their own expense, offering flexibility in an uncertain situation.
Aman Chheda, Vice President of Parking at Way, emphasized how crucial this partnership is for car enthusiasts,
