Mediphon Joins NEXs Tokyo: A Step Towards Multicultural Health Solutions

Mediphon Co., Ltd., headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has recently been accepted as a member startup in the Tokyo metropolitan area’s support initiative, the NEXs Tokyo Project, also known as Nexus Ecosystem Xs Tokyo Project. This endorsement positions Mediphon not only as a solution provider but also as a collaborative partner, aimed at co-developing solutions for pressing challenges related to multicultural coexistence and health management faced by local governments and businesses.

Background and Objectives

The increase in foreign residents in Japan has led to a growing burden on local authorities and healthcare institutions regarding language support for administrative processes and medical services. Ensuring that everyone in the community can smoothly access public services has become a crucial issue. Simultaneously, the concept of health management, where companies view employee health as a key management concern, has gained importance, necessitating the establishment of sophisticated and effective health management systems leveraging health checkup data.

Through its participation in the NEXs Tokyo initiative, Mediphon aims to concretize plans for field trials (Proof of Concept) addressing these diverse social challenges by collaborating with local governments and businesses, ultimately striving to establish suitable problem-solving models in real-world settings.

In regions with increasing foreign residents, Mediphon will explore optimal operations in collaboration with participating municipalities to eliminate language barriers in administrative and medical settings. By combining its operational insights from the foreign patient support service, mediPhone, with cutting-edge technology, Mediphon plans to validate an environment where everyone can safely and confidently access public services.

2. Advanced Health Management Trials
Utilizing the cloud-based health management system, mediment, Mediphon will verify its capability to automatically detect signals requiring priority attention from managers, amidst the growing complexity of employee health data. Collaborating with participating businesses and municipalities, Mediphon aims to co-create a highly effective 'next-generation health management model' that balances the reduction of administrative burdens on managers with early interventions for health risks within organizations.
