Background of the Partnership

In recent years, resort jobs, classified as "working while traveling," have gained significant traction, especially in Okinawa, which has become a hotspot for job seekers. The nature of resort jobs, often involving shared accommodation with furniture and appliances provided, means generally fewer belongings need to be transported. However, moving to Okinawa includes maritime shipping, making shipping costs relatively high.

Feedback indicated that many aspiring workers were hesitant due to concerns about moving expenses, which has led Dive to form this partnership with Sakai Moving Center to create accessible opportunities for potential workers.

Future Perspectives

Dive is committed to enhancing support for new working methods through resort jobs. This campaign underlines our goal to eliminate transportation costs and burdens, allowing even those previously hesitant about working in Okinawa to pursue these roles more freely.

We aim to combine Sakai Moving Center’s dedicated moving network designed specifically for Okinawa with Dive’s expertise in job placement support, to provide a comprehensive assistance system from relocation to employment.

Moving forward, Dive seeks to expand efforts beyond job support into housing, transportation, and necessary living infrastructure, fostering an environment where staff can confidently transition to new roles in the tourism industry.

What is a Resort Job?

A resort job refers to employment in hotels, inns, theme parks, ski resorts, and more across various tourist locations. Typically, positions last around three months, often with free accommodation and utility costs included, which allows workers to minimize their living expenses during employment. Most positions are designed for beginners, meaning that special skills or qualifications are not required, making it an easier entry point for many.
