Hisense Unveils Stunning Color Technology and Eye Comfort at IFA 2026
The renowned electronics manufacturer, Hisense, recently took center stage at IFA 2026 to showcase its latest innovations designed to revolutionize home entertainment. Under the slogan "Innovating a Brighter Life," Hisense presented cutting-edge display technologies, laser technology, and sound solutions that are not only vivid but also put an emphasis on viewing comfort.
During the event, Hisense was proud to highlight several award-winning products that have made their mark at the IFA Innovation Awards. The UX1 soundbar secured the title of Winner in its category, while TVs such as the 116UXS MiniLED TV, UR8 TV, and REGZA RGB Mini LED ZX Series were honored in various capacities. The laser projector XR10 also garnered recognition, showcasing a strong presence in this competitive market.
One of the standout innovations displayed is the European debut of the 116UXS television, which is set to redefine color accuracy with its next-gen RGB MiniLED technology. Utilizing the Chromagic 2.0 solution, this model includes a fourth color source, cyan, alongside the traditional RGB colors. This addition allows the TV to achieve an impressive 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color space, earning both the Pantone Validated RGB MiniLED and Pantone Color certifications for excellence in color reproduction.
Equipped with a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, the 116UXS also features Hisense's Hi-View AI Engine RGB processor and an Obsidian Panel, ensuring an exceptional level of color precision, contrast, and depth. This technological advancement results in a truly immersive viewing experience, perfect for both casual watching and cinematic events.
But Hisense's innovations don't stop at vivid colors. The company is committed to enhancing viewer comfort as well. The 116UXS incorporates solutions that minimize blue light emission, making it safer for prolonged viewing without sacrificing picture quality. This commitment to comfort is recognized by the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Additionally, the entire range of RGB MiniLED TVs for 2026, including models UR9S and UR8S, has also been awarded TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification—an initiative that ensures that eye safety features are standard across the product line, not just reserved for flagship models.
At IFA, a special event was held to celebrate the awarding of the certifications in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland. Key figures, such as Henk Pieters from TÜV Rheinland's global sales, marketing, and communication department, and Sonny Ming from Hisense's Global Commercial Center, attended the occasion to emphasize the significance of these certifications and what they mean for Hisense's future product developments.
Ming stated, "The TÜV Rheinland certificate is an objective confirmation that Hisense RGB MiniLED TVs offer a more comfortable viewing experience. We will continue to develop innovative display technologies to deliver high-quality imaging that combines excellent color reproduction with enhanced eye comfort."
Hisense's dedication to viewer comfort extends beyond its TV offerings. The company also showcases a range of laser projectors and televisions. The XR10 and Laser Cinema PX4 Pro projectors, along with the Laser TV L9Q Pro, have all earned TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification. The C3 series and other models expand the variety of immersive entertainment options available on larger screens.
Furthermore, Hisense premiered a world-first technology called Field Sequential Display (FSD), an innovative LCD architecture that eliminates color filters by sequentially displaying red, green, and blue image components. Compared to traditional LCD panels, FSD technology promises higher brightness, purer colors, and improved energy efficiency with refresh rates of up to 360 Hz.
In addition to display technologies, Hisense introduced sound systems, including soundbars and headphones. The UX1 soundbar is equipped with 11.2.6 channels of audio, supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS, along with an integrated Hi-Concerto feature for selected Hisense TVs to deliver cohesive audio-visual experiences.
The introduction of ultra-lightweight open wireless earbuds, named HiClips, each weighing just 5.5 grams, highlights Hisense’s efforts to improve comfort and usability without compromising on performance.
These groundbreaking innovations from Hisense push the boundaries of what's possible in home entertainment, creating a more engaging, realistic, and comfortable environment for everyday viewing experiences. Hisense, a visionary in the electronics space since 1969, continues to lead in multimedia devices and smart technologies, with a marked focus on high-quality products.
