GAC's Global Ecosystem Takes Shape with Overseas Sales Boom

GAC's Global Sales Surge: A Two-Year Journey to Success

In the ever-evolving automotive landscape, GAC has emerged as a formidable player, spearheading a stunning increase in its international sales. According to the recently published international performance report for 2025, GAC has exported over 130,000 vehicles, marking a remarkable year-on-year growth rate of 45%. This achievement is not just a number; it signifies the culmination of strategic efforts and developments in its global ecosystem.

A Rapid Ascent in Exports

The journey began in 2023 when GAC recorded its first milestone with overseas sales of 45,000 units. This was swiftly followed by an impressive leap to 90,000 units in 2024. By the end of 2025, GAC's export volume crossed the 130,000 mark, a testament to its aggressive expansion strategy, nearly tripling overseas sales in just two years. This incredible growth places GAC among the top eight independent Chinese brands in terms of export volume.

Building a Robust Ecosystem

The driving force behind GAC's success lies in its commitment to developing a comprehensive ecosystem. As the first state-owned automaker to globalize its integrated energy ecosystem, GAC has embraced technological innovation and quality as its key differentiators. Their ethos, encapsulated in the slogan “GAC Driven by Technology,” has propelled the company forward with a full-chain eco-system approach that enhances both production and service capabilities.

At the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show, GAC unveiled its refreshed global strategy, dubbed “One GAC 2.0.” This new initiative is focused on a unified vision, objective, and branding strategy, along with local initiatives such as “Action Thailand,” “Action Brazil,” and “Action Australia.” The goal is to tailor marketing and sales efforts to local markets, ensuring that GAC’s identity resonates internationally yet respects local preferences and needs.

Multi-Dimensional Market Strategy

Under the banner of “One GAC 2.0,” GAC has introduced five key pillars: product offerings, network expansion, service enhancements, intelligent manufacturing, and energy ecosystem solutions. This multi-faceted approach allows GAC to strengthen its presence in various local markets, driving sales through local integration. By 2025, the company launched five new models and entered 16 additional markets, bringing its global reach to an impressive 86 countries and regions.

Adding to its momentum, GAC expanded its global network with 281 new sales points, reaching a total of 630. Their strategic production initiatives also took off, with KD (knock-down) operations commencing in Indonesia and Malaysia while advancing plans for a European KD project. Five overseas plants are now operational, signifying a major step in local manufacturing capabilities.

Future Goals and Aspirations

Looking ahead, GAC aims to build on this foundation with ambitious goals for 2026. With a target of exporting 250,000 units, GAC is determined to establish a second curve of growth following its historical “Panyu Action.” This expansion not only solidifies GAC's stature but also positions it as a benchmark for the global ambitions of Chinese automotive brands.

As GAC continues its transformative journey, the company is not just focused on sales figures but is equally committed to fostering an environment that blends technology with sustainability, aiming to redefine what it means to be a global car manufacturer in the modern age. The focus on innovation, quality, and a responsive local-market strategy will undoubtedly shape the future of GAC in the global automotive arena.
