Convene Hospitality Group Welcomes Jonathan Ojany as CFO
Convene Hospitality Group (CHG), the parent company of prominent lifestyle hospitality brands like Convene and NeueHouse, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Ojany as its Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO). This strategic hiring comes at a pivotal moment as the company seeks to enhance its global brand portfolio and operate more effectively in the bustling lifestyle hospitality sector.
Ojany fills a crucial dual leadership role, where he will oversee the global finance, strategy, operations, procurement, and legal functions of CHG. His position is not merely administrative. It comes at a time when CHG aims to evolve its offerings and firmly establish its presence within the hospitality landscape intertwined with premium commercial real estate.
Ryan Simonetti, President and CEO of CHG, expressed his enthusiasm regarding Ojany’s appointment, stating, “Jonathan is a savvy growth architect whose expertise spans some of the most iconic consumer brands in the world. His unique combination of financial acuity and a passion for hospitality will be crucial as we strive to enhance our performance in alignment with our expanding global footprint.”
Before joining CHG, Ojany held a significant position as the Chief Strategy, Transformation, and Financial Officer at KFC U.S. Here, he led a multi-billion-dollar business through significant modernization and growth efforts, including relocating its headquarters to Dallas. With prior experience at The Coca-Cola Company as the Chief of Staff to the Global President and COO and in various leadership roles, Ojany brings extensive knowledge and insights that will benefit CHG immensely.
Moreover, he has a solid background in consulting, having spent time at McKinsey & Company where he advised on value creation and growth strategies. Also, during his tenure at the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), he helped formulate global brand strategies that focused on robust portfolio growth.
Ojany himself remarked, “I am excited to join CHG at such a defining moment. The company is uniquely positioned to lead the future of gatherings by delivering premium, customer-centric experiences at scale. As technology continues to facilitate new ways of living and working, the importance of meaningful, shared experiences grows — and that’s where CHG excels. I am eager to work alongside the CHG team to scale operations, accelerate growth, and construct a category-defining platform.”
With a strong educational background including an MBA in Finance and Management from The Wharton School and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Civil and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University, Ojany’s approach lies at the intersection of engineering and finance, poised to enhance brand building, scaling operations, and driving value in a global context. Based at CHG’s headquarters in New York City, Ojany is set to bring transformative changes to the organization.
