Experience the Allure of Takaki Bakery’s Stone Oven Bread at New Pop-Up Event

In an exciting initiative aimed at expanding recognition of Japanese stone oven bread in the Kanto region, Takaki Bakery set up a delightful pop-up event at Tama-Plaza Terrace in Yokohama on April 25th and 26th, 2026. Over two days, the event attracted approximately 1,200 visitors eager to taste their popular stone oven breads, including the new Stone Oven Raisin Bread and Stone Oven Whole Wheat Bread.

Event Overview

The pop-up opened its doors to the public on both days, welcoming guests from 10:30 AM until 5:00 PM on the 25th and 10:30 AM until 4:00 PM on the 26th. Located on the 2nd floor of the Sunny Gate Circle Court, the event was free to attend and did not require a reservation. This was Takaki Bakery's first attempt to directly engage with customers in the Kanto region and promote their unique bread offerings, which have been loved primarily in Western Japan.

Enjoying Fresh Stone Oven Bread

Guests experienced the fresh texture and bold flavors of Takaki’s stone oven bread during the event. Both types of bread were delivered in their factory produces and sliced on-site to serve as 'freshly cut' offerings. Visitors were able to enjoy the moist and chewy texture that is characteristic of the stone oven baking process.

As a token of appreciation, attendees who sampled the breads received a charming novelty gift: either a set of original stickers or a custom masking tape decorated with illustrations of stone oven bread.

Panels showcasing information about the company and the secrets behind the deliciousness of stone oven bread were also displayed. Participants learned more about Takaki Bakery's commitment to quality and the techniques that set them apart in bread production.

Positive Visitor Feedback

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Comments included:
  • - “I usually enjoy raisin bread, but the whole wheat version was so moist and easy to eat. I think I prefer it!”
  • - “I expected I would need to toast it, but I found it delicious as is.”
  • - “I typically have stone oven bread for breakfast, but this was even more flavorful and moist than what I'm used to.”
These reflections underscore the resonating impact of the event and the joy found in interacting directly with bread lovers.

Reflections from the Team

A representative from Takaki Bakery expressed that it was a valuable opportunity for the team to relay the allure of stone oven bread to customers face-to-face. Observing the satisfied responses of guests provided immense encouragement, reaffirming their commitment to continuing similar events in the future to broaden their fan base.

Looking Ahead

While the next event's location and schedule are yet to be determined, updates will be shared promptly. Those who enjoyed the sampling experience will be pleased to know that both the products tasted at the event are available for purchase at supermarkets in the region, including the exclusive East Japan offerings of Stone Oven Raisin Bread and Stone Oven Whole Wheat Bread.
