This arena, located on the 10th floor of the Main Tower, adds an exciting option for guests and locals alike, promoting active lifestyles right in the heart of Tokyo.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a rapidly growing sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Originating in the United States in the 1960s, it employs a paddle and a perforated plastic ball. State-of-the-Art Facilities

The newly opened pickleball court, measuring 5.2 meters in width and 13.4 meters in length, is specially designed to offer an enjoyable play experience regardless of the weather. It follows the recent success of the SEIBU FAST SPORTS FIELD Shinagawa Golf, opened in August 2023. The court will operate daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with flexible booking options available:

• - Weekdays: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM 8,000 yen per session (50 mins)
• - Weekdays: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM 11,000 yen per session
• - Weekends: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM 11,000 yen per session.

Renter can also opt for paddle and shoe rentals at 500 yen each, making it incredibly easy for spontaneous play after work or leisurely weekends.

Competitive Edge

In addition to the physical sustenance of a new pickleball court, visitors can indulge in refreshments and light snacks within the facility, making it a perfect venue for gatherings or parties. This adaptability enriches the overall experience, especially when combined with existing attractions at the Shinagawa Prince complex, including the Maxell Aqua Park and bowling center.

To celebrate the launch of the new court, the Shinagawa Prince Hotel will host two special lessons:

• - March 22: Receive coaching from top professional players Kenji Miyoshi and Aiko Yoshitomi. Participants will have exclusive access to personalized instruction in small groups.

- 3:00 PM – 4:50 PM (Intermediate)

• - March 29: Legendary pickleball figure Daniel Moore will lead the lessons. Known for winning the American Championship nine times, this is a unique chance to learn from a pioneer who played a significant role in popularizing pickleball in Japan.
