EVERSANA Expands Operations with New Distribution Center for Improved Logistics Capabilities

EVERSANA Expands Operations with New Distribution Center

In a significant move aimed at bolstering its position in the global life sciences industry, EVERSANA has recently inaugurated a new distribution center that measures 358,000 square feet. This facility, located adjacent to its existing campus in Memphis, Tennessee, is designed to enhance the company's capabilities in providing third-party logistics (3PL) services. The expansion is a response to the growing needs of their clients and marks a critical step in their operational enhancement strategy.

Strategic Expansion to Support Growing demand

This new distribution center not only adds 35% more controlled room temperature (CRT) capacity across EVERSANA's network but also increases their total 3PL footprint to over 1.25 million square feet. This strategic expansion highlights the increasing demand for sophisticated logistics solutions in the pharmaceutical sector, especially for biologics and complex therapeutics.

Jim Lang, CEO of EVERSANA, remarked, "The interest and demand for our 3PL channel services has rapidly grown. Our track record of quality and customer satisfaction is unmatched, and as we continue to invest in how we can serve the needs of clients today and tomorrow, we're bringing the latest in technology automation to even further improve speed, accuracy, and most importantly, patient outcomes."

Enhanced Technology and Warehouse Management

With this new facility, EVERSANA has also invested in advanced technology, including a state-of-the-art warehouse management system (WMS) from Datex and AI-enabled warehouse automation robots provided by Locus Robotics. These enhancements aim to increase warehouse accuracy, streamline operational throughput, and minimize manual handling processes. By integrating these technologies across its 3PL facilities, EVERSANA intends to significantly improve the efficiency of its operations while also boosting employee engagement.

Cold Chain Capabilities on the Rise

In addition to these technological advancements, the new center features expanded cold chain capabilities, adding an impressive 30,000 square feet of refrigerated and frozen storage space. This enhancement equates to over a 100% increase, enabling EVERSANA to comply with the rising needs of the pharmaceutical market, particularly in the storage and distribution of temperature-sensitive products.

Commitment to Compliance and Quality

All of EVERSANA's facilities operate under rigorous compliance regulations, ensuring that they meet the highest standards for pharmaceutical distribution, including those mandated by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Achieving accreditation from the NABP requires a comprehensive review of operational policies and procedures, reinforcing EVERSANA's dedication to protecting the integrity of the U.S. drug supply.

Over the last six years, EVERSANA has developed its 3PL footprint significantly, more than doubling its operational capabilities in response to the fast-evolving pharmaceutical landscape. Its proven excellence in logistics includes a remarkable on-time delivery rate exceeding 99%, managing over 375 million unit distributions annually, and supporting more than 600 product launches each year.

Looking Ahead

As EVERSANA continues to grow, the company remains focused on leveraging technology to improve its service offerings. By investing in cutting-edge solutions, they are not only enhancing their operational capabilities but are also committed to ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. The advancements made in this new distribution center reflect EVERSANA's commitment to innovation and operational excellence, positioning the company favorably for future growth in the life sciences sector.
