This summer, get ready for a thrilling adventure at the 'Gao Gao! Dinosaur Festival', held at the 8th floor event space of Marui Family Mizoguchi. From July 24 to August 2, 2026, this limited-time event invites everyone from kids to adults to experience the fascinating world of dinosaurs. Designed as an interactive experience, this festival promises to provide not only fun but also educational opportunities for all attendees.

What to Expect at the Festival?

Fossil Digging Experience

One of the highlights of this event is the fossil digging activity where participants can unearth real fossils from the sand. In just three minutes, attendees will get the excitement of digging up items like Mosasaurus teeth, ammonites, and shark teeth. Participants can keep one fossil they find and take home a piece of history!

- Event Duration: July 24 to August 2, 2026
- Hours: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM (Last entry at 6:30 PM)
- Location: 8th Floor Event Space, Marui Family Mizoguchi
- Participation Fee: 700 yen (tax included)

Note: One fossil of your choice can be taken home. If participants are unable to find a fossil, a complimentary souvenir fossil will be provided. In busy times, a ticket system might be implemented, and entry may be limited.

Dinosaur Capsule Grab

In another exciting activity, participants can grab three capsules filled with unique dinosaur-themed merchandise. Each capsule contains exclusive items such as acrylic stands and badges that are only available at the festival. The surprise of what you'll find inside adds an element of fun!

Dinosaur Candle Making

Unleash your creativity in the candle-making workshop, where participants can craft their very own candles. By layering vibrant sand and decorative glass pieces, each participant will create a unique masterpiece. Safe for children aged three and up, this workshop guarantees fun for the whole family.

- Duration: Approximately 20 minutes for making; additional 40 minutes for setting
- Location: 8th Floor Event Space
- Participation Fee: Starting from 1,430 yen (tax included)

Dinosaur Merchandise Sale

In addition to the interactive activities, the festival will boast a variety of dinosaur toys and exclusive merchandise featuring the event’s character, Minanozaurus. T-shirts, plushies, keychains, and stickers will be available, allowing visitors to take home a piece of their dinosaur adventure.

About Minanozaurus: This character was created during last year’s ‘Minanozaurus 2025’ event, representing a collection of four unique dinosaur characters born from a fragment of common fossils, showcasing creativity and imagination.
