GAC's Electric SUV AION V Makes Its Debut in Greece
In a significant milestone for the electric vehicle (EV) market, GAC has officially launched its electric SUV, the AION V, in Greece. This event comes after GAC's successful entries in Finland, Poland, and Portugal, marking Greece as the fourth European market to embrace GAC’s automotive innovations.
The introduction of the AION V in Greece is part of GAC's strategic plan to enhance the availability of high-quality electric vehicles across Europe. The company is determined to accelerate the adoption of EVs on the continent and play an active role in supporting regional climate goals.
AION V: A Sustainable Choice for Greek Drivers
The AION V has been designed with a focus on sustainability, safety, and spaciousness, aligning perfectly with Greece's growing demand for environmentally friendly vehicles. It boasts a commendable Euro NCAP safety rating of five stars, highlighting its commitment to passenger safety.
One of the standout features of the AION V is its impressive driving range of up to 510 kilometers, measured according to the WLTP standard. In terms of convenience, the vehicle can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes, significantly easing concerns regarding range anxiety for drivers in Greece. Furthermore, the model comes with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty for the vehicle itself, coupled with an extended 8-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty for the battery. This combination not only reassures customers of the vehicle's durability but also significantly lowers the total cost of ownership over time.
With an expanding network of charging stations throughout Greece, drivers can expect a seamless experience in navigating their electric journeys.
Strategic Expansion through Partnerships
The launch of the AION V in Greece exemplifies GAC's pan-European strategy, which has accelerated following the signing of a global partnership agreement with Inchcape during the Paris Motor Show in 2024. This alliance leverages Inchcape’s extensive sales and service network, coupled with GAC’s cutting-edge automotive technologies.
Since unveiling its 'European Market Plan' at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, GAC has aimed for rapid growth within the European market, swiftly establishing a presence in Poland, Portugal, and Finland. The company's ambitious goal is to achieve full coverage of Europe by 2028, and to do so, it is focusing on developing sales channels, enhancing service systems, and integrating supply chain operations.
