Koto Ward's Environmental Certification

Starting from August 20, the Koto Ward Environmental Certification will commence, allowing residents and others to learn about environmental issues for free! This initiative is part of Koto Ward's ambitious goal to become a "Zero Carbon City" by 2050, meaning it aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero.

Launched in the 2022 fiscal year, this certification marks a pioneering effort among the 23 wards of Tokyo to elevate awareness about environmental matters. Participants can easily know their results right after taking the test, and they can also retake it as many times as they wish, making it a convenient and engaging experience!

This exam will cover a broad range of topics, enabling even those who have taken it before to discover something new. We highly encourage everyone to participate in this year’s certification exam!

Exam Details

• - Examination Period: August 20 (Thursday) 10:00 AM - October 21 (Wednesday)

- The test can be taken at any time during the period, with a time limit of 30 minutes.

• - Eligibility: Open to everyone

- While the questions are designed for those at the middle school level and above, younger participants can also take part.

• - Fee: Free of charge

- Retaking the exam is also free.

• - How to Take the Exam: Online (available on computers, smartphones, and tablets). Participants can access the exam through the official certification website.
• - Results Announcement Period: After finishing the exam until November 29 (Sunday)

- Results can be checked 24/7 once completed.

Exam Topics and Structure

The exam will consist of 60 questions covering four main themes: "Global Warming," "Coexisting with Nature," "Circular Society," and "Koto Ward’s Environment." The format will be multiple-choice, offering two options for each question.
