Fruit Attraction 2025: A Significant Expansion
From September 30 to October 2, 2025,
Fruit Attraction, one of the world's essential trade fairs for the fruit and vegetable industry, is set to take place at
IFEMA MADRID. In its 17th edition, this year's event stands out not only for its scale but also for its commitment to innovation and international outreach.
With
2,460 exhibitors hailing from
64 countries, the event has grown by
8.4% compared to the previous year, occupying over
78,000 square meters—a
10% increase. Furthermore, it anticipates welcoming
over 120,000 visitors from
150 states, affirming its role as a critical platform for business and trade in the sector.
A Diverse Experience for Exhibitors and Visitors
The exhibition will span across
ten pavilions (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14) at IFEMA MADRID, organized by regions and sectors to enhance the experience for all participants. Approximately
70% of the fair will focus on the
Fresh Produce Area, underscoring its significance in the overall exhibition.
The fair will also emphasize the
Auxiliary Industry Area and
Fresh Food Logistics, offering solutions for cold chain logistics, crucial for maintaining product freshness. Notably, the
InnovaTech Area, which now includes
Biotech Attraction and
Smart Agro, has seen a remarkable
31% growth, solidifying its position as a hub for technological advancement in agriculture.
International Participation
For this edition, newcomers include
323 companies, signifying the event's dynamic growth and appeal. Spanish exhibitors account for
52% of total participation, showcasing the country's leadership in the horticultural sector. Moreover, the fair's international representation has increased, with
1,418 international exhibitors contributing to nearly
47% of the total floor space.
Fourteen new countries are participating for the first time, including Algeria, El Salvador, and Hungary.
To expand international relations,
IFEMA MADRID, in collaboration with the
Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, is restarting its
International Buyers Program, inviting around
700 buyers from
67 countries. Special guest countries for this event include
Malaysia and Mexico, promoting commercial interactions and networking through guided visits and B2B sessions.
Highlight Product: The Tomato
This edition will spotlight the
tomato, featuring activities that highlight its nutritional value, economic impact, and geopolitical significance in international trade. The fair’s comprehensive programming includes congresses such as
Grape Attraction and
Biotech Attraction, along with the
Biofruit Congress and
Fresh Food Logistics The Summit that promise engaging discussions.
The
Factory Chef segment, sponsored by
#alimentosdespaña, will continue with live cooking demonstrations, while the
Innovation Hub will display
50 products focused on business inventions in the field. This year’s
Innovation Hub Awards will celebrate entrepreneurial endeavors in the agricultural sector.
Awards and Recognitions
Fruit Attraction 2025 will honor the
Best Stand Awards for creativity and commitment to sustainability. Additionally, it will present the
XV APAE Journalism Awards, recognizing prestigious international media in the horticultural sector. The inaugural session, supported by the
Ministry of Agriculture, will be presided over by Minister
Luis Planas, alongside regional sponsorships from
Andalusia, the
Region of Murcia, and others.
