Commemorative Symposium for the 50th Anniversary of the ME Lecture Series
Tokyo Denki University, under the leadership of President Tadahiko Irabayashi, will host a commemorative symposium on March 23, 2026, at 13:30. This event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ME Lecture Series, established in 1977, and will take place in a hybrid format at the Tokyo Senju Campus in Adachi, Tokyo, accommodating both in-person attendees and online participants via Zoom.
As part of the celebrations, the university will introduce the "ME Research Collaboration Lab," which aims to foster collaborative research among researchers, medical institutions, and private companies in the field of Biomedical Engineering (ME). The symposium serves as an excellent opportunity to highlight this new initiative and the upcoming anniversary events planned throughout the year.

The ME Lecture Series - 50 Years of Academic Excellence
The ME Lecture Series has been an integral part of Tokyo Denki University's offerings since its initiation by Professor Masafumi Sakamoto, the university's second president, in 1977. This public lecture series connects medical engineers, researchers, and practitioners to discuss the latest advancements and future trends in healthcare and welfare technologies.
In 2026, the series will celebrate its 50th iteration, marking a significant milestone that reflects the university's commitment to innovation, research, and community engagement in the biomedical field. This anniversary will see the introduction of the ME Research Collaboration Lab, designed to facilitate collaborative research and foster partnerships beyond the university.
