Addressing Local Challenges through Collaboration
In recent years, Noshiro City has faced significant challenges, including population decline and difficulties in securing talent for local businesses. As part of an initiative to tackle these urgent issues, Noshiro City has launched a collaborative project with Noshiro Shoyo High School, based in the city. The goal of this project is to create promotional videos that highlight the unique qualities and opportunities within local companies.
Project Background and Purpose
The essence of this initiative lies in recognizing that sustainable growth for businesses necessitates utilizing a diverse range of skilled professionals. It asserts the importance of a community-wide approach to solving human resource issues rather than leaving them to individual companies. By engaging high school students, who are the future of the local community, in discovering and sharing the allure of local businesses, the project aims to nurture a sense of belonging and ultimately promote local retention.
Understanding the importance of such pioneering efforts, BNG Partners, a firm based in Tokyo, decided to participate in the project by leveraging its extensive expertise in personnel management and its understanding of executive-level recruitment. This collaboration aims at revitalizing the local community by addressing regional challenges through professional skill development.
Project Overview and BNG's Role
The project involves students from Noshiro Shoyo High School interviewing local business owners to create a series of videos that effectively capture the essence of each company, the work environment, and the passion of its employees. The steps taken include:
- - City Initiatives: Taking the lead in planning strategies to resolve overall talent issues in the region and establishing a collaborative framework between schools and companies.
- - BNG Partners' Contributions: Utilizing its knowledge accumulated through the introduction of managerial talent, particularly within CxO roles, BNG is assisting by providing practical training on video recording, editing, and interview techniques. This guidance strengthens the students' expressive capabilities as well as their practical skill sets.
Future Prospects
Moving forward, there is a commitment to addressing the challenges posed by population decline and hiring difficulties faced by local governments and businesses. This will be achieved through the utilization of professional talent and the creation of a framework that fosters local talent development.
