Talentica Unveils Winners of the Exciting Agentic AI 2025 Hackathon
Talentica Software, an innovative AI-native product engineering firm, recently concluded its third remote hackathon, held from July 31 to August 2, 2025. This event continues the company's commitment to nurturing an AI-centric mindset among its engineers and enhancing AI-driven processes. The hackathon has become a highly anticipated occasion within the company, bringing together participants ranging from fresh graduates to seasoned engineering managers, as well as individuals from non-engineering backgrounds.
The hackathon theme for this year focused on automating the software development life cycle (SDLC), building on last year's exploration of multi-agent systems. A total of 303 participants across 38 diverse teams worked vigorously to develop SDLC-centered systems aimed at improving speed, efficiency, and quality without replicating existing solutions. These multidisciplinary teams encompassed software developers, QA engineers, DevOps professionals, architects, and UX designers, all tasked with creating original, innovative projects.
During a gripping 48-hour coding marathon, teams engaged in brainstorming, problem-solving, and rigorous development under the banner of SDLC Automation. The projects were thoroughly evaluated based on relevance to the SDLC, the extent of automation, creativity, technical accuracy, and performance observability. Anindita Dey, Senior Manager of the People Group, emphasized the significance of hackathons for fostering cross-team collaboration and enhancing hands-on skills necessary for AI-enabled initiatives, stating, "Hackathons are crucial for staying ahead of trends and delivering quality outcomes."
Aniket Shaligram, VP of Technology, underscored the importance of user stories in guiding project development. "We always start with the user story. The ability of brilliant minds to align and create AI agents that deliver innovative solutions is nothing short of inspiring," he remarked.
The winners of this competitive hackathon were Team TX, whose standout project involved developing an AI agent capable of transforming vague requirements into a detailed product requirements document (PRD). This project took into account key elements such as budget, target market, customer base, and time-to-market aspects. The team's impressive achievement earned them ₹1 lakh in gift vouchers along with the opportunity to develop their prototype into a market-ready solution.
Following closely in the competition, Team QB secured the runner-up position with a solution that featured advanced searching capabilities, personalized user profiles using Natural Language Processing (NLP), customized templates, and tools based on LangChain. Team Virtual Vanguard won the award for Best Idea, while Team AIncredibles was recognized for their outstanding presentation skills.
