Kiddie Academy of Abingdon, the sole corporate-managed branch of the renowned Kiddie Academy® Educational Child Care system, proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary with an engaging open house event. The milestone, which took place on May 16, 2026, allowed families and community members to explore the Academy's freshly renovated facilities while enjoying a variety of fun activities tailored for children and parents alike.

After a significant upgrade, the Academy's revitalized design aims to offer a more connected and intentional space for both children and their families, reflecting Kiddie Academy’s commitment to educational welfare. CEO Casey Miller emphasized the pivotal role that the Abingdon location plays within the broader framework of Kiddie Academy's 378 franchises nationwide, which together cater to over 44,000 children.

"Kiddie Academy of Abingdon is essential to our brand. It serves not just as a child care facility but as a pilot ground for new initiatives that can be replicated throughout our network of academies," said Miller. His statement echoed the foundational vision set forth by his grandparents 45 years ago, which focused on preparing young children for both school and life.

As part of the recent renovations, the Academy has embraced a modern yet welcoming interior design. The lobby has been transformed into a vibrant space designed to foster connection and social interactions. This evolution in the physical space includes enhanced safety features, interactive communication hubs for families, and new decorative elements, including paint, flooring, and displays.

"We’re thrilled to commemorate this significant milestone with the community and reveal our updated learning environment, which we believe will inspire educational growth for years to come," Miller added during the celebration. The Academy, located at 3495 Box Hill Corporate Center Drive, is licensed to accommodate 146 children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old.
