Free Job Experience Event for Families
On June 6, 2026, the Pal System Union, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will host a free job experience event at its logistics and IT facility in Inagi City. Targeted toward elementary school students and their parents, this special event aims to introduce the mechanisms behind home delivery through hands-on experiences in logistics and IT.
Perfect Timing Before Summer Break!
The job experience facility features sorting machines used in the actual Pal System logistics center, along with original videos, informational panels, and tablets. Each session lasts about an hour, allowing participants to learn about home delivery while having fun. At the end of the program, there will be opportunities for memorable photos taken in front of a life-sized Pal System delivery truck, along with some gifts for participants, thanks to the support of the Inagi City Board of Education.
Pal System delivers over 10 million items weekly to approximately 800,000 households. The event will showcase how to reliably deliver large quantities of products using logistics sorting equipment and information systems, while also helping participants understand the rapid digitalization of modern society.
The cooperative's delivery system is sustainable, taking orders in advance and collecting recyclables during deliveries, which contributes to reducing food waste and promoting resource circulation. Through this experience, both children and adults will learn the importance of logistics and IT in supporting society.
A History of Engaging Experiences
Pal System has been hosting job experiences since 2023. The program, which includes workplace experience opportunities for local schools, has seen over 1,900 participants so far. Feedback from children includes enthusiastic comments, such as “Shopping on the tablet was fun!” and “I want to experience more!” Parents have also expressed their appreciation, saying, “It was beneficial for adults too” and “My child has grown interested in food.”
