About the Speaker

Dominique Wu is an accomplished XR creator, author, and lecturer who specializes in user-centered spatial interfaces and conducting in-depth user research and testing within 3D environments. Her expertise has led her to contribute valuable consulting and design services to major corporations including Meta and Walmart’s innovation arm, Store 8. Not only is she a consultant, but she also leads Hummingbirdsday Design Studio and XReality Pro, where she develops spatial design solutions tailored to various industries. As a part-time lecturer at Cañada College, she passionately educates others on XR and spatial computing.

With over a decade of experience in UX design, Dominique has made significant contributions to immersive technology, impacting major companies and the industry as a whole. She has also played a vital role in fostering a vibrant XR community in the U.S., engaging over 30,000 individuals through tutorials, talks, and hackathons, and organizing virtual meetings with spatial design professionals to promote learning and networking.

Her projects largely focus on developing prototypes using Unity and creating user-friendly spatial interfaces, emphasizing enhanced user experiences through innovative and practical design solutions.
