Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence at UTI-Sacramento
On October 7, 2025, Universal Technical Institute (UTI) proudly commemorated the 20th anniversary of its Sacramento campus, which has consistently devoted itself to preparing students for promising careers in skilled trades and transportation. Since its inception in 2005, over
13,300 graduates have received training at the 117,000-square-foot facility, embarking on successful career paths across various industries.
The Sacramento campus initially focused mainly on automotive and diesel programs but has evolved over the years, expanding its curriculum to meet the growing demands of the trades. “As we celebrate 20 years in Sacramento, we're proud of the quality programs, dedicated instructors, and student success that have defined this campus,” said
Tracy Lorenz, UTI Division President. He added that the campus's recognition as a
School of Excellence by the
Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) in 2024 further underscores its legacy.
Hands-On Training and Career Success
UTI-Sacramento stands out for its commitment to hands-on, career-focused training that students actively pursue as opportunities in skilled trades grow. Current Campus President,
Tess Kraiker, highlighted that the faculty's dedication continues to be just as strong today as it was two decades ago. “We are committed to teaching the skills employers require while supporting the long-term success of our students and graduates.”
Currently, UTI-Sacramento offers
Associates of Occupational Studies (AOS) degrees in Automotive Technology II and Diesel Technology II, along with specialized training options, such as
Ford FACT. Beyond these, students can also opt for diploma programs in Diesel, Welding, and
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR).
To enhance career prospects for graduates, UTI-Sacramento collaborates with various local and national employers. Their partners include renowned brands such as
BMW,
Ford Motor Company,
Mercedes-Benz,
Penske, and
CarMax, spanning across the automotive, diesel, and equipment sectors. Such partnerships facilitate not only job placements but also ensure that the training aligns with real-world job market demands.
