Highlights of the Event

A standout moment from the Demo Day was the impactful narratives shared by the eight featured Black Ambition founders, who relayed their unique journeys and the invaluable assistance received through the initiative. The event was further elevated by a stirring fireside chat featuring Pharrell Williams and Mellody Hobson, Co-CEO of Ariel Investments. As the event unfolded, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava presented Pharrell Williams with the Key to the County, recognizing his significant contributions through Black Ambition. With 27 winners celebrated during the evening, a variety of industries were represented, showcasing the diverse potential of underrepresented founders. The event underscored Black Ambition's mission to amplify voices from varied backgrounds and foster a platform where these entrepreneurs could thrive.

The following day, the Fundable Founders Forum took place, offering workshops and masterclasses designed to deepen the connections between founders and investors. Conversations led by industry leaders, including a chat with Steve Stoute of UnitedMasters, highlighted essential themes regarding scaling businesses and fostering generational wealth.

Felecia Hatcher, CEO of Black Ambition, articulated the importance of combining cultural pride with professional endeavors, emphasizing that the right access and support could drastically alter the trajectories of these entrepreneurs. Out of over 2500 applications, the latest cohort demonstrates the significant strides the organization has made. The initiative has supported over 28,000 entrepreneurs, providing mentorship to more than 1,175 founders and distributing nearly $14 million in capital to startups across the nation.
