Discover the Future Inventors: Kashioto Toshio Memorial Museum's Summer Event

Kashioto Toshio Memorial Museum's Summer Adventure

The Kashioto Toshio Memorial Museum, run by the Kashioto Toshio Memorial Foundation, is set to hold an exciting summer event titled "Mystery Adventure" from July 22 (Wednesday) to August 5 (Wednesday) for elementary school students. This initiative not only emphasizes the fun of learning science and art but also provides many hands-on experience events.

The museum honors the legacy of Kashioto Toshio, one of the co-founders of Casio Computer, who was a remarkable inventor known for producing the world's first compact electric calculator, the "14-A," along with numerous other innovations. The museum aims to convey the spirit of his inventions to the next generation, showcasing historically significant products from Casio and organizing activities for children who will shape the future.

Every summer, the museum hosts a special exhibition for elementary students, and this year continues the tradition with the "Mystery Adventure" where participants solve problems related to Kashioto Toshio. Young students in lower grades (1st to 3rd) can earn prizes by answering at least five questions correctly, while upper-grade students (4th to 6th) have the challenge of solving all ten questions for a chance to win a prize from a gacha machine.

In addition to the mystery-solving adventure, the museum will offer six different type of engaging experience events. These include "Calculator Exploration," "Calculator Disassembly and Assembly Workshop," "Become an Inventor," and "Watch Disassembly and Assembly Workshop," with two new activities: "Becoming a Music Creator with Sampler" and "Learning with Relay (Electromagnet)!" which are added to enrich the learning experience this year.

Students accompanied by an adult can join all activities free of charge. Reservations will begin on July 7 (Tuesday) at 11 AM through the museum's website, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Kashioto Toshio Memorial Museum aspires to nurture young inventors' creativity and critical thinking while they embark on a journey of discovery and growth through educational and enjoyable exhibitions.
