HIZENERGY has recently launched a comprehensive portfolio of battery energy storage systems (BESS) targeting the commercial and industrial sectors, aimed at facilitating the urgently needed transition in Europe’s energy landscape. Dr. Fei Wang, the Solutions Manager at HIZENERGY, presented this pioneering range during a keynote address, shedding light on the crucial challenges of enhancing flexibility within European power grids. With the increasing penetration of photovoltaics in electricity generation, the emergence of the 'duck curve,' and a growing number of hours with negative electricity prices, these solutions are timely and essential.

Addressing Energy Storage Needs

The declining costs of energy storage systems enhance the financial viability of investments in behind-the-meter energy storage solutions across manufacturing plants, industrial parks, and commercial facilities. HIZENERGY’s flagship series, known as ENERBOX, operates in three essential modes: grid-tied (on-grid), island (off-grid), and seamless transitions between these two modes. The integrated energy storage system, housed within a cabinet, connects to the alternating current (AC) network, providing 125 kW of power and energy capacities of either 261 kWh or 313 kWh, which can be expanded through parallel linking of cabinets.

These advanced storage solutions allow users to maximize on-site energy consumption generated by photovoltaic installations, limit peak demand, engage in energy price arbitrage, participate in system service markets, and ensure backup power for critical loads.

Safety and Deployment

All devices have successfully undergone safety testing in accordance with UL 9540A standards, and setting them up at installation sites typically requires no more than two hours. HIZENERGY currently has operational installations throughout Europe, with the Netherlands serving as its primary operational center. This hub includes the regional office, warehouse, and the largest after-sales service center of the firm. The support network is further bolstered by a total of 12 after-sales service points strategically located across Europe.
