Dive into the World of Brass Instruments with Yamaha Music School
Yamaha Music School, operated by the Yamaha Music Foundation located in Meguro, Tokyo, is excited to announce an exclusive collaboration with the upcoming film, "The Last Chapter: Sound! Euphonium". Starting from September 1, 2026, music enthusiasts of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in a limited-time trial lesson program designed specifically for beginners. This initiative aims to enhance public engagement with brass instruments before the movie's release on September 11, 2026.
Experience the Thrill of Playing Brass Instruments
This special program features trial lessons for a variety of brass instruments, including flute, saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, and trombone. It's an excellent chance for novices or those curious about music to dive into the enriching world of wind instruments without the daunting pressure usually attached to starting something new. Participants will be allowed to use the school's instruments free of charge, removing the barrier of needing to own an instrument beforehand.
Through this unique initiative, Yamaha Music School wishes to dispel the misconceptions that learning an instrument is too difficult or reserved for a select few. The trial lessons are specially structured to cater to individuals with no prior experience, allowing anyone to easily explore their musical interests.
Participants will engage in group lessons lasting 60 minutes, or opt for individual sessions of 30 minutes, at a cost of just ¥3,300 (including tax) for a total of two classes. Additionally, there are no entry fees or facility charges, further encouraging everyone to take this musical plunge.
What to Expect from the Trial Lessons
As part of the lessons, students will also receive exclusive original stickers designed for this event, adding a fun memento to your musical journey. The unique experience sheet provided includes the sheet music for “Marine Corps,” a piece featured in the first season of the "Sound! Euphonium" TV series. While the focus will be on the basics such as producing sound, there’s room for more advanced participants to challenge themselves and try playing more complex music.
