The JR Central Agency, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, is gearing up for its participation in the
19th Licensing Japan 2026, taking place from

Tokyo Big Sight. Following last year’s successful event, the agency aims to present an array of innovative licensing concepts and opportunities centered around its popular Shinkansen branding.
Concept and Offerings
Under the theme of “
Are, this and that, too! Shinkansen,” the agency will not only showcase merchandise but also explore various applications of railway licensing. Attendees can look forward to discovering a wide range of railway materials available for licensing including train cars, station name boards, and head marks, which highlight the versatility and potential of railway-related IP.
A particularly exciting feature of this year’s exhibition will be the introduction of the
Voxel Rail, a unique representation of the Shinkansen in a voxel format. This innovative concept, which has already been utilized for
NFTs and merchandise sales, signifies the agency's commitment to expanding its content offerings. Future developments will include short story distributions that aim to evolve into original content, further engaging audiences and enhancing brand loyalty.
