Celebrating Excellence: The Pacific Award 2025
On October 31, 2025, Pacific Consultants held its annual internal recognition event, the Pacific Award 2025, at their Tokyo office. This event aims to honor activities and contributions across the organization, reinforcing commitment to excellence and fostering a culture of appreciation amongst employees.
About the Pacific Award
The Pacific Award is an annual celebration that emphasizes the importance of recognizing outstanding organizational achievements. The awards are designed to promote self-driven initiatives within the company. Two main categories were highlighted during the event:
Organizational Activity Awards, which commend collective efforts, and
Excellence Performance Awards, which honor individual contributions.
In total,
19 awards were presented under the Organizational Activity category, as well as special jury awards. For the Excellence Performance category, winners were chosen based on four criteria: project success, bidding achievements, research papers, and technical development. From the 19 activities selected for the Organizational Activity Awards, the most outstanding one received the prestigious President's Award.
Recognitions Highlighted at the Pacific Award 2025
President's Award: Engineering Sector’s Private Sector Development
One of the notable awards was given to a project focused on reducing CO2 emissions at power and steel plants through Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies. This government-initiated project anticipates over
4 trillion yen in investments by 2033. The company's strategic shift toward utilizing traditional technology for carbon neutrality showcases their innovative spirit and dedication to tackling social challenges while enhancing business operations.
Special Jury Award: Organizational Challenges and Social Contributions from the Yachiyo Road Collapse Recovery Support
The recovery support following the road collapse incident in Yachiyo City, Saitama Prefecture, on January 28, 2025, was another highlight. This incident was not merely about restoring sewer pipes; it involved complex technical issues related to significant road traffic disruptions. The company's prompt and coordinated response not only prioritized human life but also demonstrated an exceptional organizational challenge that significantly contributed to social welfare.
Additionally, awards were granted for initiatives like the
Noto Peninsula Earthquake Recovery Support, and various technological innovations aimed at achieving a sustainable society — aligning perfectly with the company’s mission statement. The headquarters department was also recognized for initiatives that aimed to reduce overall working hours and enhance productivity, contributing to achieving their medium-term management plan for 2028.
Pacific Consultants continues to strive toward its group vision of “Producing the Future” through the Pacific Award, focusing on enhancing employee engagement and organizational and technical capabilities.
