Wargaming has proudly announced the release of the largest and most ambitious update for their popular PC tank action game,
World of Tanks, now officially live with
Update 2.0. This significant update enriches the gaming experience substantially with the introduction of
16 new Tier XI vehicles, a revamped garage and user interface, a story-driven PvE mode on unexplored maps, comprehensive balance adjustments affecting hundreds of vehicles, and a next-gen matchmaking system that promises to enhance the gameplay further.
To celebrate this massive update, all tank commanders logging in from now until mid-October will receive unprecedented rewards, marking a historic moment for the game.
Tailored Rewards for Every Commander
The rewards provided in Update 2.0 have been adjusted to fit the experience level of each tank commander:
- - Veteran Commanders (those who played before Update 2.0):
You can select one entire tech tree from Tier VI-X and receive a massive resource pack including 2500 gold, 15,000 bonds, 10 million credits, and a 60-day premium account.
- - New Commanders (those who joined after Update 2.0):
You will be rewarded with access to two tech trees (Tier VI-X), three premium vehicles, a 60-day premium account, 6 million credits, and numerous additional bonuses to aid your adventures.
For players who already own all Tier VI-X vehicles, a special set of rewards including badges, medals, and IGN stripes has been prepared to honor their dedication.

For the first time,
16 Tier XI vehicles take the stage, each equipped with unique gameplay mechanics and an innovative progression system. More vehicles are expected to be added in future updates.
- - Comprehensive Vehicle Balancing:
More than 350 vehicles across all tiers have undergone adjustments, ensuring clearer roles and fair play.
The garage has been completely transformed, allowing players to assemble and equip vehicles in a factory-like environment, ensuring they are always battle-ready.
A new, simpler, and more functional interface filled with rich information improves overall user experience.
- - Next-Gen Matchmaking System:
This update introduces a next-gen matchmaking system designed to minimize wait times, enhance team balance, and deliver more dynamic combat experiences.
Responding to player requests, a new Nordic map named
Norskaren has been added, expanding the battlefields available.
The
Boiling Point Operation provides a narrative backdrop for the introduction of Tier XI vehicles, allowing commanders to test three new Tier XI vehicles (Object 432U, Leopard 120 Verbessert, Taschenratte) in a fresh battlefield setting.
The game now features dramatic, realistic tank sounds captured from actual vehicles, offering immersive audio that vividly brings the battlefield to life.
