Samsung Showcases Groundbreaking AI Living Technologies at CES 2026

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has unveiled its visionary concept, 'Companion to AI Living,' at the prestigious First Look event during CES 2026 held at the Latour Ballroom in Wynn Las Vegas. The demonstration focuses on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is foundational to Samsung's approach, harmonizing the company’s research and development, product innovation, operational efficiency, and customer engagement experiences.

TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung's Device eXperience (DX) Division, opened the event by highlighting Samsung's leadership in AI technologies. He emphasized that Samsung's extensive ecosystem of connected devices enables the creation of a truly immersive AI companion experience that transcends standard technological interactions, infusing everyday moments with deeper meaning.

"Samsung is working towards a more cohesive and personalized experience across mobile devices, visual displays, home appliances, and services," stated TM Roh. "By embedding AI across various product categories within our global connected ecosystem, we offer users everyday interactions that are far more meaningful than ever before."

Entertainment Companionship: Beyond Viewing

During his address, SW Yong, President of Samsung’s Visual Display (VD) Business, alongside Sukhmani Mohta, Chief Marketing and Partnerships Officer for Samsung Electronics America, discussed how Samsung's display technologies blend superior hardware with visual intelligence to serve as true entertainment companions. With two decades of experience at the forefront of the TV industry, Samsung has launched an entire lineup of AI-enhanced TVs that revolutionize how users engage with their screens.

The star product – the 130-inch Micro RGB television – promises to redefine viewing experiences. Featuring unparalleled advancements in accuracy and color vibrancy, this innovative display represents a significant evolution in picture quality due to its micro-sized RGB light source. Each diode operates independently to yield true-to-life color reproduction. Coupled with the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, users are treated to breathtaking visuals in every scene.

Accompanying this stunning display is Samsung’s Vision AI Companion (VAC), an AI-driven technology that enriches the user’s viewing, dining, and mood experiences throughout the home. The VAC provides suggestions on what to watch or even what meal to prepare and can curate playlists based on the user’s preferences. The technology extends personalization through features such as AI Soccer Mode Pro and an AI Sound Controller Pro, significantly enhancing the viewer's experience.

Home Companion: Transforming Daily Chores

The vision for Samsung’s household appliances, introduced by Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President of the Digital Appliances (DA) Division, is to transform traditional home gadgets into comprehensive home companions. With over 430 million users utilizing SmartThings, Samsung aims to alleviate the burdens of daily chores through intelligent appliance integrations.

Notably, their AI-enabled Family Hub refrigerator is reimagined with built-in AI Vision technology, enabling it to track food items seamlessly and facilitate meal planning. Through gamification features like 'What’s for Today?', it offers tailored recipe recommendations based on available ingredients while synchronizing with connected cooking devices for a frictionless culinary experience.

Additionally, Samsung's Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and the Bespoke AI AirDresser address common laundry issues, making them more user-friendly and efficient. The air dresser combats wrinkles effortlessly and enhances the user experience around the clock.

The Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra, powered by cutting-edge sensors, can identify spills and monitor household activities, further solidifying Samsung's commitment to creating an integrated smart home experience.

Proactive Care: A New Approach to Health

Finally, Praveen Raja, Vice President and Head of Digital Health at Samsung Research America, shared insights on their visionary approach to health care. Samsung is transitioning from reactive to proactive health management. This includes personalized health coaching via connected devices, alerting users of any potential health issues, and offering solutions before they arise.

Through integrated technology, Samsung strives to provide users with health support translating into actionable insights derived from their daily behaviors.

The exhibition showcased at CES 2026 is available to the public until January 7, offering attendees a glimpse into the future of AI-infused technology and how it can enhance everyday living. For further information about Samsung's products and offerings, visit the Samsung Newsroom.
